MSI 5700XT rom flash issue

I got a used MSI RX 5700XT Gaming X off of a local miner with a mining firmware onboard. Everything worked and ran just fine, until I went to flash it back to a stock gaming bios. For some reason flashing it back to what I thought was a stock bios seems to have partially bricked the card and it throws a code 43 in device properties. Also, it shows with a blank bios p/n in amdvbflash, and is partially reporting in gpu-z. It otherwise shows and is identifiable in Windows, and it doesn't seem to be throwing any errors during flashing. There are only two firmwares in the database for this card as far as I can tell, and I've flashed both with no effect, and they both list the same two memory types. I've also tried using amdvbflash 2.93+ as was suggested in another thread I found, but it did not make any difference either. The only thing I can think of is that either I'm still using the wrong firmware for the card somehow, or I'm doing something wrong in the flash procedure...? Maybe I need to do something with the rom for the memory type? I'm definitely missing something here.

AMDVBFlash 2.93+ is not recommended. Please use the regular version (without PLUS) of AMDVBFlash.
Did you check which memory is on the card before flashing the card?

There are unverified uploads which might fit:

The first amdvbflash version I had used was 3.31, I only tried 2.93+ and 5.0.567 afterwards.

I hadn't looked at the memory because I wanted to avoid disturbing the thermal pads if possible. And when I saw that both firmwares in the database called out the same two Micron and Samsung modules, I (wrongly) assumed the memory on the card could only be one of those two models anyway.

Having now pulled off the cooling assembly, the memory modules are in fact SK Hynix H56C8H24AIR, so it looks like neither firmware was correct for the card I have here.

Try this one using 2.93:

This worked, card is now up and gaming, thanks!

I should note for anyone who ends up with the same problem: the first time I tried to flash, it completed sucessfully with no errors, but when I rebooted nothing had changed and it still showed all the old values. I flashed again but added -fp -fm -fa and it worked. Used 2.93(non-plus)

I am having similar issue with rx5600xt. I just want to know what is your windows version. I tried running 2.93 but windows gives me warning and can not run it. I need to cross flash because ssid mismatch. I am on windows 11 pro latest update

@coolmag - He used 2.93 under Win 10.
Win 11 have some limitations - for example i use a computer with win 10 pro x64 every time i need to flash a video card.
And i recommend you to do it also under Win 10.
