EK Waterblocks Rolls Out Gold-Plated Special Variants of the EK Supreme

EK Waterblocks rolled out a limited-edition variant of its popular EK Supreme universal CPU water block, the EK Supreme. This variant comes with gold-plated top and fittings for the extra bling in the case. According to German retailer Aquatuning, the company has only made 100 pieces, and each piece has its unique number marked on the unit, and has matching gold-plated fittings on offer. The base has a mirror-finish, and its retention mechanism supports all current CPU sockets, including LGA-1366, LGA-1156, LGA-775, LGA-771, AMD AM3/AM2+/AM2. The main unit is listed for 69.99 EUR, and the fittings are ranged reasonably on par with standard fittings.

It's gold plated, and gold conducts heat better than nickel. Nickel plating halts corrosion and oxidation and it'd be the same for gold plating. :slap:

I like, and the price for a limited edition run is reasonable. Does that equate to US dollars or no?

Sorry for double post but i just thought of something. Whats so different between the gold version and copper version that the gold has AMD support? They look exactly identical in mounting system yet the copper says 775/1366.

HK3 gives more flow and better temps which trumps the $5-15 price difference.
