I haven't heard of these LSI MegaRAID controllers. Can anybody give me the rundown on how they compare to, say the SandForce controllers? Or are these pretty much for the business sector?

what they're doing is running 2/4/8 SSD's inside the one package, giving them internal RAID (its how they get the uber speeds)

just means OCZ has got LSI to make these controllers for the next SSD's.

Actually, it means that the intrepid line of ssd is certified to work with the LSI Megaraid discrete pci-e add-on cards. It says so right in the main post...

You did.

These drives are now "certified" to run on LSI raid controllers, just like Crossfire ram is "certified" to run on Crossfire systems. AKA: This is all a BS marketing ploy. SSDs run on most any RAID controller to begin with, unless there is a bug associated with a certain combo.
