RunCore Unveils Pro IV, Combines ExpressCard and USB 3.0 SSD with USB 3.0 Hub

RunCore developed a unique kind of device, the Pro IV USB 3.0 ExpressCard SSD. This device is both a USB 3.0 hub and SSD, which connects to an ExpressCard/34 slot as well as USB 3.0. As an SSD, it provides 64 GB of responsive storage for laptops, with transfer rates of 110 MB/s read and 80 MB/s write. When connected as ExpressCard, it also gives out two USB 3.0 ports. The device itself can be used as a standalone external SSD, by connecting the bundled USB 3.0 male-male cable to the "host" port on the device, and the other end to a PC/laptop with a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port. RunCore did not give out pricing information.
