LG Joins the Ultrabook Club, Unveils the Xnote Z330
The ultrabook supporters club has grown some more recently as LG Electronics decided to adopt this form factor and release the Xnote Z330, an Intel-based mobile PC that weights just 1.21kg and is 14.7mm thick.
LG's first ultrabook comes with a 13.3-inch (1366 x 768) LED-backlit display boasting a super-thin bezel (8mm), is powered by a Core i5-2467M (1.6 GHz) or Core i7-2637M (1.7 GHz) processor, and can boot up in 9.9 seconds.The Z330 also packs 4GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics 3000, a 120GB (SATA 3.0 Gbps) or 256GB (SATA 6.0 Gbps) solid state drive, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, Intel WiDi (Wireless Display) support, USB 3.0, a microSD card reader, and is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
For starters the Xnote Z330 has been launched in South Korea, its pricing there going from 1.7 million won (~ US $1,5010) to 2.6 million won (~ US $2,309).

What material is the shell made from?
Brushed aluminum?
I understand you can have ultra sharp panels but when something is that vibrant, it just doesnt seem to fit with the laptop
It looks nice though, so nice that the staff had either superglued or bolted the laptop down to the desk to stop people running away with it.

I saw the Asus one too. IMO i quite prefer the Asus one over the Sony. I cant remember which model had the brushed steel/aluminum look - the Asus laptop is about £800 here if i remember correctly.
