AMD Tahiti (Radeon HD 7900) Graphics Card Seen in the Nude
Today may be a Fringe-less Friday but worry not, there are plenty of thing to do like contemplating the two recently-leaked images of an AMD Tahiti-powered graphics card. Tahiti is a 'next-gen' GPU built on TSMC's 28 nm process that's supposed to be at the heart of the Radeon HD 7900 series models (the HD 7950, HD 7970, and then probably the dual-GPU HD 7990).
The card seen below comes with one Tahiti chip protected by a heatspreader/shield (only the die is exposed) and has a red PCB, a 5+1-phase PWM, two BIOSes, two PCIe power plugs, CrossFire connectors enabling quad-GPU configurations, and 12 memory chips which support previous reports of a 384-bit memory interface.
The Radeon HD 7900 series cards are rumored to debut in January at CES 2012 (January 10-13) so we still have one month of leaks to look forward to. Oh, and the winter holidays.

( I've done it and don't recommend it)
( Not as If modern day gpus get a whole lot of extra grunt from over-clocking memory)
unborn gpus have Writes for privacy!
And then used a slightly larger cross bracket on the back ( just a square basically) to both help support the gpu and cool down the chips.
Although I supposed from a manufacturers perspective it's cheaper doing it their way.
I'd just prefer it aesthetically lol
Surely the 7950~7990 should be Trinity, is the one/s to have the XDR2.
I can not see that AMD would make dual gpu 79?? in 3 models Devastator lite / desktop / scrapper desktop.
If scrapper is dual gpu sure then trinity lite/desktop is likely 7950/7970 and this tahiti is the 7930 or 7850 ????
AMD679A.1 = "SI TAHITI PRO"
AMD6798.1 = "SI TAHITI XT"
AMD6830.1 = "SUMMER PALACE XT"

AMD9904.1 = "TRINITY DEVASTATOR LITE DESKTOP"
AMD9903.2 = "TRINITY DEVASTATOR LITE MOBILE"
AMD9900.2 = "TRINITY DEVASTATOR MOBILE"
AMD9991.1 = "TRINITY SCRAPPER DESKTOP"
AMD9990.2 = "TRINITY SCRAPPER MOBILE"
Unless you mean the very small ones, that's just where they've snapped the card of it's mold.
And what are these "Oh, and the winter holidays. " you speak of??????????
But who is it that confirmed that the card is going to support a 384-bit bus? I'm a little bit of a noob when it comes to looking at bare cards and deciphering the electronics of it all. Confirmation from AMD themselves would solidify this info vs. a VR-Zone article.
