I was curious on how they would run dual 580s, thus I experimented and this is what I found:
Dual 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M (4GB of Total GFX) w/Dual 300watt power adapters
"Dual 300watt Power Adapters" ...haha:roll: epic fail

ATi's 3D feature isn't as mature as nVidia's. I think that's the reasoning behind the decision to include nVidia GPUs.

I thought we've had SLI in laptops already? I remember seeing BTO options on other makers listing SLI or Crossfire setups. Unless that was something else entirely...dunno, I never really looked into it.

The M17x R3 has the 3D Display and emitter, but no SLI. The M18x has a 3D Capable Display, but no emitter. You have to buy the emitter and glasses separate.

Check your facts.
