2X Copper PCB
GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 4 design features 2X the amount of copper of a traditional motherboard for both the Power and Ground layers which dramatically lowers system temperature by delivering a more efficient spreading of heat from critical areas of the motherboard such as the CPU power zone throughout the entire PCB. GIGABYTE's Ultra Durable 4 also lowers the PCB impedance by 50%, which helps to reduce electrical waste and further lowers component temperatures. they all make their stuff in china, dont they? only different products get stamped with different brands.
1st thing I thought of when I saw this... I loled and went just a month ago they was catching of fire... now they claim to be the most durable?
I really love my Asus board, maybe more tha ngigabyte now, because you can send back your stuff in Ontario for RMA, not gigabyte, which cost me like 40$ to send + Customs fees :o
my z68 ud4 b3 needs a shit load of voltage to get my cpu stable @ high clocks and the ahci driver blew up my ssd-_-' i will stick @ gigabyte though, some z77 ud5/ud7 and a gtx 680 at the end of the year
GIGABYTE has one factory in Taiwan in which they make their top products in, and the rest of their factories are in China for mass production.
The ASUS&ASRock conglomerate has their own factories in China as well.
MSI, Intel, and many other board makers have other board makers make their boards for them.
Did find out from this bad GPU that if you ever have to return a Giga product for RMA, be patient. Takes them a week alone, after it arrives at their office, for them to recognize they've even received it. I know cause I hand delivered it and didn't get confirmation till the end of the week.
for me as a system builder I'm trying to avoid Gigabyte now ... swicthing to MSI better support, good quality and durability.
