New NVIDIA GeForce Logo Pictured

NVIDIA has been using its current GeForce logo since GeForce 8800 GTX, probably with a bit of polishing now and then. Pictured below, is the newest NVIDIA GeForce GTX logo. "GeForce GTX" is going to be NVIDIA's new way of denoting graphics cards for serious gamers, graphics cards starting at ~$150, going all the way up to whatever NVIDIA prices its high-end graphics card at. The new GeForce brand name has all its letters capitalized, as "GEFORCE". The font used has swanky sharp edges. A section of the NVIDIA "eye" is sticking out from the bottom-right. The non-GTX logo could look similar, minus the "GTX", of course.

I'm also hearing there will be a complete overhaul of other NVIDIA logos.

So how much dough they spend on marketing shit ? Instead of R&D and cheaper manufacturing - cheap cards for the consumers ? I Marketing Hate U.

So besides GeForce, that's SLI, 3D Vision, 3D Vision Surround, CUDA, PhysX, ION, Optimus Technology, Quadro/Tesla...have I missed something? Tegra?

New windows logo, new Nvidia Logo. Damn, a months old rig is starting to look ages old.
Not a bad design. They should have added more of the "eye"...

Its only a win if he remembers the product with which the image is associated with. He never had a chance. ;)

At least the consulting group they used didn't go all lower case as was the rage a year or so ago like what kmart/sears did.

That said I wouldn't have not done all Caps for GeForce while Nvidia is the corporate name and should have more prominence, and yes not had only part of the "eye". It’s like the corporate identity Nvidia snd the eye are being shunned.
It’s marketing… change for the sake of substantiating their worth. :shadedshu

OH, I have such a headache
One would think they would be working on there cards not some pointless logo that does nothing for the performance of the card. What is wrong with these huge companies lately? I think some one has spiked the water cooler! Yeah just what every one needs some stupid logo no one is ever going to see! That will boost sales!

NV uses its current GeForce logo since 2006. AMD changed the Radeon logo three times since 2006. Who has logorea?

A company has several departments. It isn't as if the chief of R&D was tasked to come up with the new logo.

Sure, the marketing budget could be used to hire an extra army of engineers but then someone has to handle PR, customer relations, etc.

Well that's simply not true. Just as "go faster" stripes painted on cars of value below a grand have been proven to make it go faster, this too applies to logos on GPU.

This news has erased all doubts about this card. Get ready for The Wheel II.

Indeed. No business would flourish without good marketing.
Nvidia can leave it's marketing dept as it is. AMD is the one that needs to rethink how they deal with their human resources. At least their CPU department does...

Looks < Performance

I couldn't give a rats **** if it was a bouquet of flowers, Hello Kitty or even Obama's facial profile (well maybe the last one I would care, my limits on looks/appearance of a GPU are not that low); I want GPUs dammit! :banghead:

Hehe good point. Last I checked there isn't really alot going on on the back of my card which is all I can see when I look in my case

In AMD's defence they acquired ATI so there had to be some Logo changes, Then the dropping of ATI altogether so that required a little more logo messing about.
