Dell Alienware M18X R2 Specs Leak

Still not officially announced by Dell, the Alienware M18X R2 gaming laptop has once again found its way in the news thanks to a leak detailing its hardware. According to the latest scoop, the M18X R2 will pack a quad-core Intel (Ivy Bridge) processor - either the 2.3 GHz Core i7-3610QM, 2.6 GHz i7-3720QM or 2.7 GHz i7-3820QM, AMD (Radeon HD 7970M in CrossFire) or NVIDIA (GeForce GTX 660M or GTX 675M in SLI) graphics, up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to a 750 GB (7200 RPM) hard drive, and/or a solid state drive with a capacity of up to 512 GB.

The updated Alienware M18X will also feature an 18.4-inch (1920 x 1080) LED-backlit display, a Wireless HD card (optional), a 240 W or 330 W AC adapter, and two color choices - red and black.

you can customize these to lots of different colors when you buy one.

Dam. That's 1 fine piece of mobile power. Sheer beast, only thing I would do is disable all of the outside lighting, OC it just a tiny bit, and just go to town on some of the newer games while I'm on the go :toast:

That was what I thought too, until I saw it first hand (everyday, in fact). It will slowly grow on you, and you can choose to get the black cover instead if you dislike the clash.

I (personally) think it looks funky even though I am not that young. For these who cannot digest the Alienware’s aesthetics’ I would suggest to look at other powerful alternatives such as EUROCOM www.eurocom.com/ monsters, with more toned down looks and much more conservative lines. However, they have price tag to match if not higher.
