Wow, if i was looking at this type of monitor I'll take the BenQ XL2420TX anyday thanks. Undercuts this in price and well, at least imo, its a better screen too.

Completely Bonkers
Usually, I would repeat the call for higher quality, higher resolution, higher pixel density TFTs, and lambast such an offering as this.

But today I won't. I'll post a picture instead.

The ASUS VG Series VG278H 27” monitor goes for ~$700 USD so € 474.99 is a little cheaper at about ~$620 USD. These type of monitors are not without flaw though, best to let them get sorted first,....

There are cheaper 23" 3D monitors too,....

mastrdrverIf I'm not mistaken, you can blame HDMI. With the 1.4a standard that just came out, it barely has enough bandwidth for this resolution/frequency.
It's a computer monitor. We have Dual link DVI and Displayport at our disposal.

Still that would explain why they are holding back.

I just hooked up my first Displayport yesterday, and HDMI is more mainstream than DVI, for casuals anyway.
