GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 670 WindForce OC Pictured

Here are the first pictures of GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 670 WindForce OC graphics card. As the name suggests, the card is GIGABYTE custom-design implementation of NVIDIA's upcoming performance-segment SKU, which utilizes its signature WindForce 3X cooling solution, and is overclocked out of the box. GIGABYTE's card appears to make use of a custom-design PCB, which is longer than NVIDIA reference design. According to a GPU-Z screenshot, the card comes with out of the box clock speeds of 980 MHz (core base), 1059 MHz (core boost), and 1502 MHz (~6.00 GHz effective, memory). Its specifications as reported by GPU-Z match early reports, with a CUDA core count of 1344, and 2 GB of GDDR5 memory over a 256-bit memory interface.

wow... I might actually consider getting an nVidia GPU for the first time... any info on price? that would be the dealmaker...

also, this seems to be a repeat of the 7870 vs 7970 performance. not enough ROPs for the high end parts?

If you can find it its 399$ which is same price as most rest the cards. I have one, it runs cold as could be, rarely ever gets over 60 c less under full load. Newegg has been outta stock for this card since like 2-3 days after it was out, but its def one best you can get for 670 series. super quiet and runs very low temp. I had an MSI twin frozr III GTX 570 before this, and this 670 runs easy 15 degree's F colder idle, and close to 20 F lower under load.
