With how sexy the stock 690 looks, I'd feel bad ripping it apart...

That looks so cheap and common... :(
Let's hope someone will eventually get a WB with looks worthy of a 690.

Why on earth would you strip a 690?

Other than the aesthetic point you all said, why would someone watercool a vga which doesn't support voltage tweaking other than a meager power target setting?

This obviously looks worse than the reference design and the GTX 690 cooling solution has been proven very quiet and more than adequate.

So... Thermal, acoustic and aesthetic are all against this wb.

The only reason I could see it would be a badass looking WB from Swiftech.

So they make 10 of these blocks for the 10 available 690 cards?

Still not as quiet as full loop on water. With 4+ 120 fans and an already not too hot chip, the water cooled 690 will essentially be silent as the radiator fans would not be required to spin up at all. Just 4 or 5 fans trundling along at 6-700 rpm, with a dual 680 equivalent and NO EXTRA noise.

My 7970 on ultra @ 2560x1440 hits 55/56 degrees (overclocked) with no fan ramping (apart from cpu of course).

There's always room for water :D
