EVGA Announces its GeForce GT 640 Series

EVGA kicked off its GeForce GT 640 lineup with two models, a double-slot one (model: 02G-P4-2643-KR), and a single-slot (model: 02G-P4-2645-KR), both of which are priced at US $109.99. The GeForce GT 640 is based on the new 28 nm GK107 silicon, with 384 CUDA cores, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. The cards rely entirely on the PCI-Express slot for power, and support PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface. Both models provide the same display output load-out, including two dual-link DVI and a mini-HDMI. The cards should be available right away.

Where are reviews of these? ODD way to promote a new product...

Hopefully W1zzard will get one someday and give it an appropriate score… Because, this is "Priced way too high to be competitive". Also, the word is that Nvidia's own media package to reviewers is alluding to theses offering little if any additional overclocking, and basically asking not to provide such testing?

Here is the benchmark Tom's Hardware did with the DDR3 version:
www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gt-640-review,3214.html

and here is the price of the HD7750 on newegg.com:
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Expr...

The HD7750 cost 99.99 US Dollars after Mail-in Rebate, comes with a free game and it completely destroys the GT640.

I honestly don't believe the GDDR5 version will make this card come even close to the HD7750.
