It plugs into USB 3.0 (backwards-compatible with USB 2.0) ports, and gives out an eSATA port. The eSATA port runs at a maximum host data-rate of 3 Gb/s. The adapter draws power from the USB port it's plugged into. The USB 3.0 to SATA host controller supports activity LEDs, and should support AHCI, for hot-plugging capabilities to work normally. It is priced at 100 RMB (US $15).
