Biostar Releases the A55MLV FM1 Motherboard

Taiwan-based Biostar Microtech has this week released a new motherboard supporting AMD's FM1 APUs (A8, A6, A4 and E2 Series). Dubbed A55MLV, the board is powered by the AMD A55 chipset, has a micro ATX for factor, and features two DDR3-1866 memory slots, four SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, plus one PCI-Express x16 and one PCI slot.

The A55MLV also has 10/100 Ethernet, 5.1-channel audio, and a D-Sub output, and is selling for 40 Euro.

Biostar prolly didn't get the memo yet that Trinity is finally out. Its ok Biostar, AMD is a little slow with these things too.

Well, it is cheap, and it makes a lot of sense. If this was FM2 it would be a real winner.

That's actually not bad for the low end market (I mean counting pennies/cents low end), would be perfect with Non-For-Profit organisations also IMO. Choice of FM1 socket makes sense for this market segment also as the FM1 socket AMD APUs will get cheaper as FM2 launches.
