Rendered meaningless by the price. $199 for a rubber dome keyboard...Why would you buy it when you could have something you'd enjoy typing on more for nearly half the price?

You never heard that opinions are like assholes? Everybody has one....

To type there are 15 €/$ kbs that just do the job. Why do people buy expensive watches, if the time shown is the same? :nutkick:

I have to agree with Vancha - the concept and design of the Cyborg products have great potential, but they ultimately dissapoint due to their use of sub-par mechanical parts.

I really really wanted to love the RAT7 mouse, but it just couldn't be adjusted in any direction that made clicking/mousing any more comfortable than a more ergonomically designed mouse.

Mechanical switches > rubber dome

If they'd built it with quality switches it would be worth it.

Ill have to agree with Vancha, at that price pint I could by 2 very nice mechanical keyboards. Gaming should move towards mechanical switches entirely from a performance standpoint.

You could argue that some people would rather have membrane keyboards for whatever reason, but I could also argue that some people like to be stabbed in the eyeball. Some people do have mental disabilities that would make that enjoyable for them, therefore rendering it a valid opinion.

Watches are a bad example. Cars are a better comparison...Why spend twice the amount of a Bentley for a Ford fiesta with stock parts, that has neon lights, gold rims and a flaming exhaust tacked on? The Bentley will be much nicer to drive at half the cost.

Granted, there may be a weird little contingent of keyboard users that prefer the feel of rubber domes, but I've never met one. For most people mechanical keyboards are far more enjoyable to type on.

Well to be fair, some people are just so into aesthetics and there's some that still don't know or scared to try mech kbs

Not mechanical? No thanks.

Love the the spacebar though.. now only if someone out there would do the same thing to the L-ctrl button as most of us use that as crouch.

:) The Logitech G19 was only 10 €$ cheaper when it was lauched, and offers much less, expect the LCD.

BTW, just noticed there are 2 cyborg strike kbs: 5 and 7, now it starts to get expensive!

Aye, but that wasn't competing with mechanical keyboards, since everyone had still forgotten about them back then. If this had come out 5 years ago I'm sure it'd be getting a much warmer reception.
