NVIDIA Posts WHQL-Signed GeForce 310.70 Drivers

NVIDIA released the GeForce 310.70 WHQL software suite, which isn't much more than a WHQL-signed version of the GeForce 310.70 beta drivers posted a couple of weeks ago. Available for 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP, the drivers, much like the 310.70 beta, are a cumulative of several R310 beta releases from over the past two months. They add significant performance increases over the previous 306.97 WHQL drivers.

I disagree that non WHQL are per definition beta drivers.

They are per-definition beta/alpha/pre-alpha drivers.

I think the developers must say if it is or not beta. It has always been like that. MS certification is added value but not the end of all ends. I think this is not my opinion, but how things have been and are. Personal Computers (PC) are one thing and MS is another, although now we are "drilled" to say things like "Games for windows" instead of "PC game", etc... Applelization at it's best... : )

I've installed the 160mb one. Everything is fine. Noticed performance increase with SLI in FC3, since 310.70 beta.

Are there any changes from the beta aside from the WHQL signatures?

I dunno about these. Had a hard crash in BF3. Prior drivers had been very stable. Turned up my case fans the next time and it seemed to be fine but I wonder if they're causing this.

yeah, I did not crash BF3 but found the game stuttering, particularly when scoped.
Back to 306.97 and problem fixed
