LG's 27EA83 27-Inch WQHD Monitor is Up For Pre-Order

Announced at the end of August, and showcased at IFA 2012, LG's 27EA83 WHQD monitor has started to be listed by European stores, as a pre-order item. This 27-inch widescreen display featured an LED backlight, an IPS panel, a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a 6 ms response time, 350 cd/m2 brightness, a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors, a 3-port USB 3.0 hub, and a stand enabling height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustment.

The 27EA83 can be found priced at €727.

I work for LG i was waiting for these to come out but just got the Samsung instead couldn't be bothered waiting lol.

The split screen features look very useful, that's something I would have liked to see on my Dell 27.

That’s nearly ~$1000 USD,…..

I think I could probably find an HP, Dell or Asus 2560x1440 display in the ~$600 to ~$700 range,…

I'm not going to lie. I really like how the display itself looks. I think the design is pretty sleek with plenty of features. Not that you need half of them, but it still looks like a good display nonetheless.

You're including the 19% VAT in that conversion. If you exclude taxes, it's about the same price in the U.S.

Back of the stand reminds me of the samsung counterpart. Guess it's down to which panel you prefer, not that there's much difference in practice.

As long as prices stay high like this the eBay Korean market selling 1440P 27" IPS monitors for less than half the price will stay strong, at least with the enthusiast techies willing to take a risk.
