Cooltek Announces CoolCube Mini-ITX Case

Cooltek adds with the "Coolcube" a particularly compact aluminum HTPC cases to its product range. The minimalistic cube is completely made of 1.5 mm thick, black anodized aluminum. The Coolcube offers a classical, timeless design that blends in perfectly with any environment. The case is designed for Mini-ITX systems and can be equipped with a standard ATX power supply.

You can mount either a 3.5 inch and a 2.5 inch hard disk or two 2.5 inch HDD/SSD inside the case. Two PCI expansion slots are available for the installation of graphics cards with a maximum length of about 180 mm. If you use a standard ATX power supply, you can mount HTPC coolers with a maximum height of about 80 mm.
The cooling system of Coolcube is designed to minimize noise. For optimal system cooling the left side panel is perforated, allowing a continuous exchange of air for the built-in CPU cooler. On the back side up to four 40mm fans can be mounted to optimize the case ventilation. The use of aluminum also contributes to improved heat dissipation.

Externally, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port are available, as well as the HD audio ports (mic and audio). Included are four non-slip rubber feet to decouple the case and effectively absorb vibrations.

  • Form factor: Mini-ITX

A company that has this good of taste in Power Supplies for their ad definitely deserves my business. I'll be looking to buy one, mainly because they put in dual PCI expansion slots. I like this little case. Simple....and it's priced right.

Best,

"The cooling system of Coolcube is designed to minimize noise." + "On the back side up to four 40mm fans can be mounted to optimize the case ventilation."

Awesome, I do hope it becomes available. Compared to the case I was going to get for my wife's new build, this one is cheaper by half and has a much cleaner look (no 5.25 bay).

Take note Lian Li, you have bay-less mITX and double-slot mITX cases, but no bay-less cases that are also double-slot.

Maybe Cooltek will offer optional bottoms? One that holds a single drive and dual 80mm/92mm fans would be pretty sweet. Otherwise, it's hole saw time!
