Mushkin Unveils SandForce-Driven 240GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Among an avalanche of other major products, memory maker Mushkin announced a new line of USB 3.0 flash drives that are SandForce-driven, and pack no less than 240 GB of space for your precious (n). The drives use a USB 3.0 to SATA 6 Gb/s host controller PCB, which is then wired to another one, which holds a SandForce SF-2281 processor, which marshals fewer NAND flash chips than it's capable of. Yet, the drive is capable of over 300 MB/s of transfer-rates (read/write specifics not mentioned).
