Razer Announces Steam Integration For Edge Tablet
Razer, the world leader in high-performance gaming hardware, software and systems announced today that the Razer Edge Gaming Tablet will soon come preinstalled with Steam software.
The Razer Edge tablet will come with Valve's industry-leading software, enabling gamers around the world to launch their games more quickly. The Edge is optimized for demanding gameplay and, through its mobile console and home console modes, it works seamlessly with Steam Big Picture."Razer has one mission in mind: to innovate for PC gamers worldwide," says Min-Liang Tan , co-founder, Razer CEO and creative director. Or could this follow the APU route like consoles?
That review also has a Trinity based system in the charts, and while it scores well it does fall short of the hardware in the Edge. But I think AMD could make some hardware that would pair extremely well with a design like this.
I really like this concept though, but we are probably a few generations away from making this a must have. AMD's APUs should really go a long way in taking something like this into the mainstream, or perhaps even the new Haswell chips could improve usability and maybe not even need the GT 640M LE.
