ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, announced today that it has added a series of Usenet download and media streaming tools to its App Central library. These new Apps include SABnzbdplus, Sick Beard, CouchPotato, Headphones, and Subsonic. All ASUSTOR users are welcome to try out these new Apps as they are available free of charge from ASUSTOR's App Central.

As the world's first NAS devices designed around the use of Apps, the ASUSTOR NAS App Central library contains a rich variety of Apps that users can download and enjoy. Presently, App Central contains over 90 different Apps that users can install to add functionality to their NAS devices. App categories include business, project collaboration, website construction and digital home entertainment."App Central is an excellent platform that allows our users to add different types of functionality to their NAS devices. The newly released Apps are summarized as follows:

• SABnzbdplus: SABnzbd is a cross-platform binary newsreader. It makes downloading from Usenet as simple and streamlined as possible by automating the entire process. All you have to do is add an .nzb file and SABnzbd takes over from there, where it will be automatically downloaded, verified, repaired, extracted and filed away with zero human interaction.
• Sick Beard: Sick Beard is a personal video recorder for newsgroup users. It watches for new episodes of your favorite shows and when they are posted it downloads them, sorts and renames them, and optionally generates metadata for them.
• CouchPotato: CouchPotato is an automatic NZB and torrent downloader. You can create a "want to watch" list and CouchPotato will search through multiple NZBs & Torrents sites, looking for the best possible match. Once a match is found it will send it to SABnzbd or download the file to a specified directory.
• Headphones: Headphones is a SABnzbd add-on that automates your music downloading. It allows you to import all your favorite artists from iTunes, and keep an eye out for any new albums they might be releasing.
• Subsonic: Subsonic is a free, web-based media streamer, providing ubiquitous access to the music on your ASUSTOR NAS. You can use it to listen to your own music, share music with friends and even stream to multiple player simultaneously.
