Battlefield 4 an AMD Gaming Evolved Title, Possibly Part of Upcoming Bundle

AMD revealed that EA's highly-anticipated online shooter, Battlefield 4, is an AMD Gaming Evolved title, in the run up to its GPU'14 event, slated for later today. It also hints at the possibility of Battlefield 4 being part of an upcoming "Never Settle" bundle that's exclusive to buyers of the Radeon R 200 series. What does this translate to in the real world? Radeon HD 7700 series and above, and the upcoming Radeon R 200 series, feature 100% support for DirectX 11.1, which Battlefield 4 is rumored to take advantage of, on PCs running Windows 8 (and above). It could translate to better performance or visual effects.

Agreed, but it may make me upgrade from my 7970 to a R9 just to get the game included....

I picked up Crysis 3 and Tomb Raider going to my 7970. I just might do that as well because you got me to thinking of someone that would be interested in the 7970.

Thanks :toast:

Why? the game would be cheaper than the video card.

Because its like saving that money on the card. If you are gonna buy the game anyway, you might as well put that towards the new card.

Just a quick question to see if I understood previous changes to Never Settle correctly: You're free to redeem whenever you like (as in you can hold on to your key untill a game becomes available that you like), but when you redeem you need to pick all (up to 3) titles then?

I ask because there is a likelihood that Watch Dogs will become a Never Settle game, but I also want BF4. So I need to hold on to my keys for 4 weeks after BF4 releases until Watch Dogs releases?

Windows 8 barbone = shit.
Windows 8 + classicshell or startisback = pure gold and would never go back to Windows 7.
BF4 + directX 11.2 bring it on!

You do have an issue with 8, if you can't use it barebone.
