EK Introduces ASUS Maximus VI Impact AIO Water Cooling Solution
EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear manufacturer, is proud to introduce company's first complete all-in-one (CPU and motherboard) liquid cooling solution for ASUS Maximus VI Impact motherboard, a Z87 Express based 4th generation Intel Core i7 LGA-1150 socket motherboard.
EK-FB ASUS M6I water block is a complete all-in-one (CPU and motherboard) liquid cooling solution for Intel LGA-1150 socket Haswell CPU and ASUS Maximus VI Impact motherboard. This water block uses award winning EK-Supremacy cooling engine to ensure best possible CPU cooling. The water blocks directly cools Intel LGA-1150 socket type CPU, Intel Z87 Express southbridge (PCH) and power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module as water flows directly over all critical areas. It is a very high flow water block that can be easily used with systems using weaker water pumps.
"We're excited to introduce our first AIO water block," said Niko Tivadar, EK-FB ASUS M6I main designer and Product Manager of EKWB. "EK-FB ASUS M6I provides sleek design with only two in- and out- water ports which greatly improves the functionality of the unit. Uncompromised CPU cooling is ensured by the use of our award-winning EK-Supremacy CPU water block cooling engine. ASUS Maximus VI Impact motherboard, paired with our cooling solution, represents the foundation for building the flagship performance small-form factor D.I.Y. gaming machine."
Base of the water block is made of bare- or nickel-plated electrolytic copper (depending on the variant) while the top is made of quality POM Acetal or acrylic glass material (depending on the variant). Plexi top variants feature two slots for easy installation of 3mm LED diodes.
EK also encloses EK-LGA 115x TRUE Backplate to ensure even contact with the CPU as well as to prevent motherboard warping. This water block kit is available in six visually different versions:

Or did they already have this that far in the design process when they switched to the Clean design that they didn't bother changing it?
Also I bet the M6I AIO water block idea came from Bitspower

Lucky for us he failed fabulously.
EK have released both CSQ and non CSQ designs, TPU have only posted pics of the csq version!
But still this is very low profile you can get really small pumps so i dont see the problem.
