SteelSeries to Create Exclusive Range of Peripherals for The Sims 4

SteelSeries, one of the global leaders in premium gaming gear, today announced with Electronic Arts that they will produce The Sims 4 Gaming Headset, Mouse and QCK Mousepad. The Sims 4 Gaming Headset and Mouse have been uniquely designed to immerse players even deeper into the emotional life of their Sims, extending their experience beyond the computer screen. For the first time, players will see just what their Sim in The Sims 4 is feeling through an illuminated Plumbob that lights and pulsates according to the level of emotion their Sim is experiencing.

"The Sims franchise has some of the best fans in the world and we wanted to enhance their experience to allow them to immerse themselves even further into the game," said Rachel Franklin, VP and General Manager of The Sims Studio. "The Sims 4 is centered around our new Sims and their emotions and we believe that players will feel even more connected with the game as their peripherals reflect the mood of their Sims."
"Working with Electronic Arts has allowed us to introduce the passion of what we do as peripheral makers to The Sims community, which is one of the most enthusiastic and engaged audiences in gaming," said Morten Steen-Jorgensen, SteelSeries CEO. "We are thrilled to bring these truly unique peripherals to all types of players, from those experiencing The Sims for the first time to seasoned Simmers."

The Sims 4 Gaming Headset (MSRP $39.99/€39.99)
The all white headset features an illuminated Plumbob on each ear cup that changes to reflect the current emotional state of your Sim. Its slim profile on-ear design connects to your PC via USB. Its audio quality allows users to clearly hear their Sims as well as the environment around them from other Sims in the background to music and ambient noise.

The Sims 4 Gaming Mouse & QCK Mousepad (MSRP $29.99 / €29.99 & $14.99 / €14.99)
Featuring a streamlined three-button ergonomic design, the white glossy mouse also has an illuminated Plumbob that changes to reflect the current emotional state of your Sim. To complete the ultimate set-up, the new game-inspired The Sims 4 QcK mousepad has a unique micro-fiber surface that ensures a smooth, consistent glide.

The Sims 4 peripherals will be available at game launch this fall. For more information about each of these new products as well as alerts for pre-order availability, please visit steelseries.com/sims4.

Mouse from SteelSeries- not for a while. After having/trying a few different Tiers of their mice I am extremely dissatisfied. Have Kinzu, seen Rival. Amazing design in my opinion, but for that MUCH money you get crap of components inside. Same issues both mice- when you move too fast it starts spinning. Optical sensor for Kinzu, when you can get laser for the same money. Omron click, but the left one gave out after 20 hours of use and startied making annoyin sounds (I know RMA and stuff but still), etc etc.

I bought M705 from Logitech recently and now I totally understand why people are craving so much about them. Words fail to express how much I enjoy the hyper scroll :). I am using a steelseries mousepad though :) I tried their 1st generation of Syberia hedseats- same opinion- I didn't like it. They were my roomate's and their microphone had failed. I just don't get how that company prospers. I am a big fan of their design, and I just don't understand why not fill it up with something that actually works? or alternatively lower the price of their stuff. I feel like I am paying for the drawing board.
