EK Introduces ASUS Maximus VII Gene/Hero/Ranger MOSFET Water Blocks

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear manufacturer, is proud to introduce EK-MOSFET ASUS M7G - a new water block for water cooling of the power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module on ASUS Maximus VII Gene, VII Ranger and VII Hero.

Base of these water coolers is made of nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality acrylic glass material or POM Acetal (depending on the variant). As an additional safety measure this product features pre-installed nickel-plated brass standoffs which prevent incorrect installation and utilizes ASUS factory provided backplates to maximize cooling performance. EK-MOSFET ASUS M7G features a high flow design allowing the water block to be easily used with systems using weaker water pumps.
EK-MOSFET ASUS M7G comes in three different variants and is currently available for pre-order through EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network. Shipping starts September 19th 2014.

Looks nice but does watercooling the mosfets actually makes differences when overclocking?

If anything, I would imagine it would impact longevity of the VRMs themselves when overclocking more than anything else. I bet those VRMs get plenty toasty at higher voltages.

Unless there's a fault or defect, no MOSFETs should be burning or dying out any time soon. Most users upgrade motherboards long before that would happen.
As for toasty, well not as toasty as south bridges I bet, and even those are only passively cooled in most scenarios.

This seems extremely unnecessary and totally not worth the hassle of putting another line in your loop.
