AMD Outs Catalyst 14.11.2 Beta

AMD rolled out its latest Catalyst software suite, version 14.11.2 Beta. These drivers add optimizations for two recently launched AAA games, namely FarCry 4, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. With FarCry 4, Catalyst 14.11.2 offers up to 50 percent increase in single-GPU performance, with anti-aliasing enabled, over Catalyst 14.11.1. With Dragon Age: Inquisition, the driver offers a 5 percent performance increase. This driver comes with a CrossFire profile for Dragon Age: Inquisition. CrossFire support for FarCry 4, on the other hand, is disabled, while AMD works with Ubisoft to fix bugs. Grab the driver from the link below.

Devon68Oh .AMD can work with Ubisoft all they want but Ubisoft's strategy seems to be: We made a terribly optimized game again but it's OK we will just label it next gen and it's alright. I would be ashamed to work at ubi now. But still gamers are to blame as well since they still buy the game. Oh and the funny thing is, if the game is a terrible console port then how will it run on consoles since they all have AMD's hardware in them.
FC4 is not even properly optimized for Nvidia... yet. :D

Devon68The funny thing you mention Nvidia as there is an graphical setting in FC4 called nVidia which is like the new extreme setting. Didn't you see this, it's in this article

Using Nvidia setting at 2560x1440 crumples my 780ti to 30-50fps, with maxxed out Vram. Lowered it to TXAAx2 and medium post processing - runs smoother (40-60fps).

It'd be like Tomb Raider saying AMD setting and switching on Tress FX.

FTR, Nvidia setting probably requires 4GB+ at higher resolution.

UM yea so ubisoft never fixed the issue with crossfire and far cry 3 in multiplayer so I doubt that ubi will fix crossfire this time either. UBISOFT SUCKS

I had a blast with the game last night, and funny how people always blame UBI as it just might the shareholders to they are trying to keep happy.

Pffffffft, that is HILARIOUS. Wow I cannot stop laughing after seeing that is a setting, I have not had time to pick up myself a PC copy of the game yet but that is making me laugh. I really wanna try this just to go through the game options and see that setting and what happens.
