Introducing the EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SuperSC ACX 2.0+

The EVGA GeForce GTX 960 delivers incredible performance, power efficiency, and gaming technologies that only NVIDIA Maxwell technology can offer. This is the perfect upgrade, offering 60% faster performance and twice the power efficiency of previous-generation cards*. The new EVGA ACX 2.0+ cooler brings new features to the award winning EVGA ACX 2.0 cooling technology. A Memory MOSFET Cooling Plate (MMCP) reduces MOSFET temperatures up to 11°C, and optimized Straight Heat Pipes (SHP) reduce GPU temperature by an additional 5°C. ACX 2.0+ coolers also feature optimized Swept fan blades, double ball bearings and an extreme low power motor, delivering more air flow with less power, unlocking additional power for the GPU.
New Features:
  • dBi (dB Noise Inverter) - EVGA's ACX 2.0+ fan turns off below 60C, generating 0dB of noise.

  • SHP (Straight Heat Pipes) - Triple 8mm straight heat pipes offer 6% better heat dissipation than bent heat pipes with reduced thermal resistance.

Single power connector makes this a no brainer mid-tier gaming gpu. You know, for those of us who don't actually require our games to run at 100000fps to feel "more immersive."

This result did not reflect the real difference between two card, fps in game can show
areal difference
tomb rider ultra gtx 960 default = 81 fps gtx 970 = 121
crysiss 3 max sitting gtx 960 =40 fps gtx 970 =55
battlefield 4 max gtx 960 =55 fps gtx 970 84 fps

Dragon Age: Inquisition gtx 960 = 35 gtx 970 =50

note when overclocked increase 10 fps = gtx 770

64KIt's a nice card for 1080p. You will have to lower some settings in some demanding games to get acceptable FPS.

I am sorry but I have to disagree. I know everyone has their own definition of "acceptable FPS" but this 960 will play even the most demanding games at 1440p above 30FPS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Now maybe will stop saying you need to pay $450 for a card that plays 1440p games...

Depends on your settings. At highest settings and 4X AA. Yes, I know that not everyone cares if they have the highest settings but I do and I have the $$$ to buy it so why not.

Dragon Age:Inquisition 22.2 FPS
Crysis 3 16.4 FPS (even a 970 is brought down to 25.7 FPS)
Tomb Raider 22.5 FPS

These are average FPS. Even with a game hovering around 30 avg FPS you are likely to still have dips into the 20s. Undoubtedly there will be more games that will be released in the near future that will bring a 960 to it's knees at 1440p and highest settings.

I think the 960 is a nice card for 1080p gaming and the 970 is a nice card for 1440p. I'm not sure where you are getting the $450 from. I paid $350 for my card and some 970s have been reduced to even less.

sorry, wasnt targeting you specifically. i just hear a lot on this forum how you need to pay $$$ to play games at 1440p and we can see that clearly is not the case. True, you stick some AA on there and FPS drops below 30, but at 1440p you dont need AA nearly as much.

No problem. Yeah, I needed 4X AA when I was using my 27" 1080p monitor but now on my 27" 1440p monitor I've found that 2X AA is fine.
