GELID Announces Antarctica CPU Cooler

Thermal Solutions specialist GELID Solutions unveils the latest top performance CPU cooler for Intel and AMD CPU. The Antarctica CPU cooler is a product of GELID Solutions GAMER product line.

The Antarctica comes with a 3D optimized heatsink that offers best-in-class thermal performance. The engineers of GELID Solutions especially designed a set of 5 power heat pipes, aluminum fins with improved profiling and an additional smaller heatsink with a copper core. These elements provide exceptional heat transfer from the CPU to the heatsink. Both heatsinks were created using precise software simulation and calculation during the development stage to ensure efficient air flow distribution at the lowest fan speed possible. The result, the Antarctica fully supports heat transfer of TDP 220W being paired with even very low-speed, virtually noiseless fans.
A silent 140mm fan with the intelligent GELID PWM (Pulse Width Module) control compliments theheatsink. The fan blades are optimized to deliver high air flow at low speed, and the newly designed PWM IC eliminates any clicking noise. The intelligent GELID PWM curve operates the fan in an extended speed range of 450 RPM to 1500 RPM, it constantly keeps the fan silent but accelerates speed whenever additional cooling is needed. With 2 sets of fan mounts, a second fan can be installed to improve the cooler's outstanding performance even further. Additionally, the multi-award winning high performance GC-Extreme thermal compound is already included in the package. Mounting clips for multiple AMD CPU sockets AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2 and for Intel CPU LGA 775, 1366, 1155, 1156, 1150 and the latest 1151 sockets, as well as back plates for AMD and Intel mainboards are all included too.

The cooler is RoHS and WEEE conform and carries a 5 year warranty.

"Our Antarctica CPU Cooler is a silent heat-killer. It's forged to fulfill the requirements of the picky gaming enthusiasts and professional users. Perfectly balanced high performance, silent operation and multi-system compatibility, all the features many users have dreamed about now come true with the Antarctica", said Gebhard Scherrer, co-founder and Sales Director of GELID Solutions Ltd.

The Antarctica CPU cooler is available now and has a MSRP of USD 41.99 or Euro 37.

Yes, yes... it irrates me each time opening my case... It works good, extended range is the second thing I need. And those... DeepCool green and red? I want black or white... not a darn xmas tree, now I have a cooler with some spinning poop in between.

I would like to have Phanteks PH-F140HP II PWM Fan :/, even ebay offers doesn't ship to me. :(

Why are they so stubbornly insisting on color that doesn't fit with ANYTHING. Maybe if you have a pig shaped case imitation, but not for bloody stylish PC's. Fans have to be functional AND stylish. No one buys shoes that are just functional. They have to be functional and they have to look nice as well. They can have the best fans in the world and I'd never buy them because of retarded ugly color. Noctua, get it? You're losing (or shall I say not gaining) customers because you insist on some stupidity. I've never registered Austrians as stubborn nation, but Noctua certainly deviates from the "norm". There are colors not used by other vendors if they want to have unique color. How about very dark pastel violet that almost looks like black? It's within their brand color spectrum, just use something nicer than that skin/diarrhea color scheme. Daym.

The TY series by Thermalright might suit you. Available in various colour themes as well.
Thermalright uses them on the Archon, SilverArrow, Macho, True Spirit and HR-02.

I just think their CEO is sadist, likes us watching and suffering from this stupid looking color, that totally spoils any looks, your friends make fun about it anytime you open and clean the case.

At each company meeting he says - look they still buying them even if their are poo colored.

I actually like the color. I haven't used a clear windowed case in some 10 years, and I rarely open my cases anymore other than to dust them out every 6-9 months. my real question is:

Will my cpu temp increase 2-3c every couple years then?

uh noctua fans look fine when everything else is black

i dont understand the color hate, it's not like i can match the off colors of mobos with gfx cards or fans unless it's the same brand (msi's red is different from gigabyte's red is different from asus' red is different from corsair's red circle, etc)

what ever happened to noctua's black painted editions? was that just for a couple models or what?
