Mad Catz Ships the R.A.T. PROX Gaming Mouse

Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. ("Mad Catz") announced today the shipping of the R.A.T. PROX, the next generation of adjustable PC gaming mice compatible with Windows 10. Designed to be the world's most advanced gaming mouse, the R.A.T. PROX durable magnesium alloy chassis anchors a high performance gaming mouse that combines groundbreaking features, patent-pending technology and a level of customization never before seen.

Conceived as a wholly unique and future-proof gaming mouse, gamers can upgrade and customize key components of their R.A.T. PROX, thanks to the Modular Sensor Units (MSU). Offering a choice of optical and laser sensors, each with built-in memory profiles, the R.A.T. PROX allows gamers to hot-swap the Modular Senor Units to suit their individual style of play or when new sensor technologies become available.
In addition, the R.A.T. PROX innovative Scroll Wheel system allows gamers to adjust the click force of the wheel, swap out the wheel itself and even utilize a new analogue strafe feature, giving gamers analog control over the horizontal movement on the scroll wheel for the first time.

"Since launching our flagship R.A.T. range some five years ago, we have been working hard on what comes next and today we're excited to announce the official debut of the game changing R.A.T. PROX. Designed for passionate PC Gamers, who demand high performance and a level of customization that suits their individual style of play, the R.A.T. PROX represents the next generation of gaming mice." said Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz. "PC gaming continues to represent a sizable segment of our business, and one which we feel is poised to grow further. We believe the introduction of the R.A.T. PROX, will connect with core gamers around the world, enabling us to expand our market share and appeal to an ever widening audience."

However, they went crazy !!!!!!!!!! 200$ lipstick mouse. 150$ over killing, 30% traders ,20% tax , 20% of the duties ...Beautiful but not worth so much. And I do not believe that they are really ceramic backings (usually in fact harder polymers). The first will be only at a price. i hewe R.A.T.E.-7(~ 90$) and they have more invested for less money. :P

I realy hope they have improved on the RAT7 design, that was the absolute worst mouse i have ever used, solely because the adjustable palm rest always gave a little play, witch resulted in the hole mouse feeling like a cheap piece of shit $10 mouse.

I think this mouse is Amazing, I love the idea of swapping out Lasers and adjusting the mouse to fit you. And I can not say enough about the mouse wheel on this damn thing .. I love you can switch it out and adjust the tension of it .... A mouse is 100% preference, and what you can work with. Allowing you to change it to work / fit you is epic.

Now all that bing said , their is one big issue hear. Key Words is , "MAD CATS" They tend to make garbage. I have owned A few of their products, I onwed A R.A.T. 11 (gift) and I own A saitek x55 ( yes saitek is mad catz). I will say the Mouse lasted about 1 year before having real issues. But was fixed and worked well for another 2 years. But the X-55, Oh dear lord .... waste of 200.00 Issues from day one. Software and hardware both !.. after it was fix the 2nd time I thought about selling it .. however I just did not feel right selling it to someone ... felt like I would be A con man or something .. soul-less. it sat for months unused and when I tried to play E:D the throttle snapped ... I just LOLed and chunked it back into the closet .. not worth shipping back for another RMA, (would be the 3rd )

So, As much as I do want this mouse , I would rather take 200.00 and throw it in the trash .. cause that is where it will go.

Rott in hell Mad Catz and Saitek .... Shame on you. (heads up took Saitek over 1 year to fix the X-55 software, it would have button ghosting issue if you had team speak installed.. ... thats right you could not use your X-55 200.00 joystick/throttle if you had team speak installed ) ... and their customer support .... ugh .

I've had a R.A.T.7 for quite a few years now.

Palm rest is rock solid on my mouse, in fact, the whole thing is rock solid. No play whatsoever.
