Cooler Master Teases with a Limited all Black COSMOS PC Chassis

Apparently, the great success of Cooler Master's COSMOS series of PC cases has stimulated the manufacturer to introduce a limited series of COSMOS chassis that will make happy only a few. The special edition of Cooler Master's original COSMOS RC-1000 case will be all painted in black, both externally and internally. Unlike the original RC-1000, the new black edition will also ship with upgraded to 140mm top fans. This version is also equipped with a clear side panel, instead of the solid one found in the early models. Cooler Master also says that all limited cases will come with a "new name & logo on each chassis", whatever that means. The official launch date for the "black" COSMOS RC-1000 is set on 11th of December with limited availability of 500 sets worldwide in selected countries only. All bundles will be marked from 1 to 500, to complete the unique feel of the case.

UPDATE: a Cooler Master Black site is now operational.

Looks like a 500 bucks case to rip off the gullible geeks... if I may say so. Who needs that.

Not quite sure where you pulled $500 from. No price is mentioned, just that there will only be 500 made. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it cost that much

I dont have a source for the price. But the limited editions from i.e. Lian Li are around those amounts of cash. Limited editions are always very expensive. The 500 bucks are only estimated^^

Honestly, I really wouldn't be surprised if it's more. The article says it's a bundle. At this point we don't know what the other items will be

With them it will probably be a few extra fans an some kind of monitoring device. 500 bucks isnt a far off estimate. I love the COSMOS cases, but they are already high enough.

Trust me on this one, it's not just going to be some extra fans or some kind of monitoring device, it's going to be a pretty solid bundle, but I can't tell you what ;)

Let me guess,
1,power supply like a 850 watter
2,optional side panel with damper material
3,the hard drive fan mounts.
4,all the stuff found on the 1100 and S case
5,your name and a logo of your choice and life time warranty
6,better motherboard tray with cpu cut out like the RS840 has, also cable management
7, a few of those babes from those hardware shows (XFX girls :D )
8,If you own one you get to trade it in and pay the balance owing

$500 to own? Sold!

... Wait what? I get a case too? Ok, throw it in the crate when you ship the girls over, I guess I can find a use for it.

Close, but the logistics with the girls would just be a nightmare and I'm not sure how good friends CM and XFX are :D
Maybe they can send you some Taiwanese booth girls instead? ;)

based on the vague info in the OP, I'd gander $400-$450; if CM tacks in a bunch of extra hardware $600-$750.

Be glad it won't have a custom, air-brushed paint job like they offer for the Stackers . . . then you'd be looking easily over $1000.

CM does tend to get pricey, but they do try to offer a very solid product for the amount you're paying.
