ENERMAX Announces ECO80+ Power Supply Series

ENERMAX recently launched the LIBERTY ECO as the successor to the LIBERTY DXX for their modular mainstream PSU series and complements their offering today with the native cable version "ECO80+", both series supplement the higher efficiency MODU82+ & PRO82+ series PSU as the value offering segment.

ENERMAX already reigns the realms of silence with its patented and technically unbeatable fan control SpeedGuard, but ECO 80+ combines it with another patented innovation from ENERMAX; TWISTER MAGNETIC BEARING Technology, which lowers the noise profile compared to MODU82+ or PRO82+ by 1-2dbA in idle load! This is achieved by the magnetic bearing technology, which causes no friction or traction related noise like ordinary ball or sleeve bearings, thus reducing audible noise. The as well patented AirGuard inlet eliminates air turbulences which reduces additional acoustic noise. ECO80+'s silent solutions make it a perfect choice for HTPC systems.

Furthermore, an 110% capacity transformer and a special heavy-duty version Japanese main capacitor keep the output stable even at full load, TRIPLE AC + DUAL DC EMI Filter keep the current cleaner than others, while high efficiency internal components and exceptional air-flow create an excellent thermal solution making it 24/7 @ 40°C ready! After the record-breaking REVOLUTION85+ series, it is the world's first DESKTOP PSU series obtaining SIP (SURGE & INRUSH) and dual UVP (under voltage) protections by having dedicated AC UVP & DC UVP for input and output integrated in the industry-leading SafeGuard function with additional OCP, OPP/OLP, SCP, OTP and OVP protections.

ECO80+, the start-of-the-art value line for all systems in the desktop segment, redefines silence to an nearly inaudible minimum and will be available from now onwards as:

Enermax is one of the best PSUs Ive ever owned. I really love my corsair and would love to get the HX1000. However, if I can afford to get one, Im going to grab one of Enermax's beasts that are modular. I may pay a little more but its rock solid.

lol I guessing these are desinged for 50% load. yeah I'm definetly a fan of enermax they seem to ahve been consistantly reliable for me throughout my computing days. I do however like the fact that brands like corsair and pc power and cooling have come in as well. it keeps enermax on their toes.

Looks neat. My Modu625 is doing its job superbly and quietly, so I am definitely all for more Enermax products.

ABSOLUTLY AGREE Enermax and OCZ ive never had a problem with an ocz or Enermax quiet+ quality. Any other brand like cooler master (on my other comp) my fan stoped i rmed one that one that came the rails went bad on it. I tried enermax and never had to fix it AGAIN. Im running an OCZ on this one now its my second ocz and no probs. So if i ever have to buy its either one and yeah its a lil more but totaly worth it

I'm definitely not a fan of the Orange + Gold. I think their clear fan blades look great with the gold fan grill. For these, I'd say paint the grill black.

But I'll agree, Enermax PSU's are my personal favorite. Loving my MODU82+ 625W.

These PSUs rock. But news? I created a thread about them a while back...

Mine is still going strong, and I have every belief it will handle dual 4870s without trouble!
