The AMD Athlon 64 2800+ was a mobile processor with 1 core, launched in April 2004. It is part of the Athlon 64 lineup, using the NewCastle architecture with Socket 754. Athlon 64 2800+ has 512 KB of L2 cache and operates at 1800 MHz. AMD is building the Athlon 64 2800+ on a 130 nm production process using 69 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Athlon 64 2800+, which limits its overclocking capabilities.
With a TDP of 32 W, the Athlon 64 2800+ consumes only little energy. AMD's processor supports DDR1 memory with a single-channel interface.
Neither SSE3 nor SSE4 instruction sets are supported, which will lead to problems with games not starting.
