    Actually, there are, of course, non-compete clauses, so that exact thing doesn't happen. On the other hand, the whole industry here is one incestuous situation, so everyone knows everyone and if you have a bright idea and share it with a friend, the next day a manufacturer in china is making it for two companies, instead of just you.
