Intel Statement on Stability Issues: "Motherboard Makers to Blame"

Last time they (ASUS) didn't stick to spec AMD released a new AGESA to force them too. I didn't see the motherboard vendors kick up a fuss about that when AMD forced their hand so why would they when Intel does? Would be interested in what spec your board is not sticking to. As long as they are...

Intel Statement on Stability Issues: "Motherboard Makers to Blame"

They stick to AMDs spec and AMD are still a smaller company so you would have thought Intel has more leverage over their motherboard partners. This does feel like people trying to pin Intel's slack oversight of motherboard defaults onto the mobo makers rather than Intel's laissez-faire attitude.

Sapphire Radeon RX 7600 XT Pulse

Seems to be 60+ in most games at 1080p Ultra / Max excluding RT. 1440p would probably need a reduction in settings to get 60 fps but it looks doable with less of a hit to IQ than turning on FSR.

Sapphire Radeon RX 7600 XT Pulse

I think you are running at a net lower Image Quality just to turn RT reflections on when you could turn it off and run closer or maybe even at native resolution.

Sapphire Radeon RX 7600 XT Pulse

16GB seems to help in a number of games. Makes Spiderman + RT possible at 1440p with over 60 fps. A shame there does not seem to be any min fps for the games tested with RT. A much smoother experience in FC6 at 1440p with RT on and I suspect if min FPS was available the XT would be > 60...

AMD Announces the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB Graphics Card

This is pure truth. If someone wants to build a more budget friendly PC that can keep up with the consoles for the rest of the generation they now have some options. Before the 6700XT got as cheap as it is or the 7600XT launch you had to pay quite a lot more for a GPU that had that balance and...

AMD Announces the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB Graphics Card

Ahh okay, you like to snip quotes to take them out of context then argue the strawman you have built with those out of context quotes. Wonderful.

AMD Announces the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB Graphics Card

Those 4 games are no where near an exhaustive list... With fewer and fewer games catering to the PS4 and more and more using RT if your intention is to buy a GPU at a good price and ride it out until the next generation consoles then the 7600XT is the 1st GPU at a reasonable MSRP that has...

AMD Announces the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB Graphics Card

Lets give it time... Oh wait we don't need to because it is already starting to happen. So at 1440p the 4060Ti 16GB can use RT if you can accept 30FPS. The 8GB cant and neither can the 3070 Ti which is a much faster GPU usually. Here the 4060Ti can offer path tracing at 1080p at just over...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super Founders Edition

Seems decent. Worth the price increase over the 7800XT at MSRP in my opinion but choice will depend on actual prices. Agreed with others that say this is what the 4070 should have been to start with.

AMD Announces the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB Graphics Card

Games now are exceeding 8GB VRAM buffers so it does not require a significant higher detail, just a few % more on average is going to make a difference. Remember the question is not 'can a 7600 class card use 16GB of VRAM' the question is actually 'can a 7600 class card use more than 8GB of...

AMD Announces the Radeon RX 7600 XT 16GB Graphics Card

Longevity. Same reason the RX 480 8GB was a better buy than the RX 480 4GB. It allows you to run games with higher texture settings for longer at your desired resolution and generally textures are one of the most important settings to keep high because of how much they impact IQ. If I have a...

    Intel Core i9-14900K

The correct notation for that scaling is %pt (percentage point, p.p and pp are also other shorthands). So in your example it would be a 50%pt increase for each step. When doing a ranking with the baseline as the test product and indexing other products off of that baseline then yes, absolute...

NVIDIA Readies GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER

The 2070 Super was very close to the 2080 and the 2060 Super was very close to the 2070. If real the easy 4070 Super upgrade would be to use AD104 and cut it less so performance is ahead of the 7800XT in raster and clearly ahead in RT. Sell it for $650 and it would probably be fine although...

    Intel Core i9-14900K

That is fair, the competitive landscape in the GPU market has changed more since the 6800XT launch than the competitive landscape in the CPU market changed since the 13900K launch. I also think the Highly Recommended award for the 7800XT is spot on, good card, has some caveats but also some...
