This Week in Gaming (Week 25)

Appreciate the weekly games report. Found a few gems through this. I don't game a lot, seriously Hitman WOA -> WoW rinse and repeat. Except for the titles u mentioned. That being said, a lot of games don't have alternative links or sources, including indie titles I tried. Kinda surprised a game...

AMD Reportedly Discontinues B650 Motherboard Chipset, Insider Predicts Q3'25 Stock Depletion

It's going to keep receiving driver updates for a while. AMDs latest chipset drivers support an extremely huge range of products. The only downside I see is missing out on Gen5 PCIE in the future. But considering the tests done here on TPU on PCIE scaling, it probably won't matter much.

    Half Life 3 soon ?

Its funny that "Valve time" became a term. And that Valve even acknowledged it. I Like that they as a corporation have a sense of humor. Also, I forgot about Valve not being able to count to 3. No HL3, No Left for dead 3, etc "A hilarious music video has appeared online, underlining the sad...

    Half Life 3 soon ?

I dont believe that HL3 is coming anytime soon. Valve stated again and again that they'll release it IF employee want to work on it, IF they get enough of them on a project AND when there is new, exciting tech. In regards to the first part about employees, I think unlike say Rockstar or other...

FSP Group Partners with Intel to Launch Energy-efficient and Backup-integrated Next-gen Power Solutions

With USB you can have powered/amplified extension cables. They're against the USB rules, but they do work. I was running almost 50ft of USB to monitor my compact medicine fridge that is on a 1500VA/1000w UPS. Although USB2.0 (UPSs tend to use 2.0) assumes data is lost if it doesn't arrive in...

FSP Group Partners with Intel to Launch Energy-efficient and Backup-integrated Next-gen Power Solutions

I guess the only appeal of PSU+battery combo if power flickers often but not a full outage. Electricity in my area is shit so I have UPS on anything that needs to have power all the time.

Intel to Explore Optimization of Arc GPUs When Paired with Older Generation CPUs

I mean the box does say min 10th gen CPU or Series 3000 or higher. Still interesting as to why this is happening

US Investigates Possible "Singapore" Loophole in China's Access to NVIDIA GPUs

Not to be that guy, but "Plutonium level of control" is weird in US and Canada (and France - separate rules). You can obtain half an ounce of Plutonium, just need NRC form 30.37 I believe (I forget the form number) and $$$. Element collectors can do it and stuff. But yes, you are correct. Hell...

Netlist Wins $118 Million in Second Patent Infringement Trial Against Samsung

An odd press release. I'm not criticizing TPU. I'm criticizing Netlist You typically don't publish court wins or losses in a press release. Yeah it's in the investors section. No, you don't typically make it easy to find. Either it makes you look like an asshole if you won (even if you were...

AOOSTAR Unveils XG76 and XG76 XT eGPUs with OCuLink, USB4 and Relatively Affordable Pricing

Bandwidth. Docks like this try and skimp on connectivity because of lack of bandwidth. You need more than OCuLink or USB4 can provide. Adding ports means needing more bandwidth. 7600 is for 2 reasons: 1. Because everyone decided its THE GPU to use in these for some reason. And 2. A more...

Ryujinx Switch Emulator May Live On in Posthumous Project Fork

Silly Nintendo, thinking they can shut down an open source project. Its like fighting torrent sites, or trying to put out a fire using gasoline. I understand why Nintendo is doing this, protecting their IP. But unlike them I also understand that some fights are unwinnable, there are more...

Roblox Comes Under Fire for Failing To Protect Minors and Misrepresenting User Data

Are you a bot? This article is part of gaming - and a big one in regards to younger audiences. Just cause you never heard of it doesn't mean it's minor. Hell, if we're on topic of shit general public never heard of you can list most tech and games; how many people know if Silent Hill 2? Or the...
