My point is it's a collection of benchmarks rather than a single task, and unless I'm missing something, there is no breakdown of each task. intel were caught manipulating benchmarks like these many times by just getting the benchmark company to run the tests more favourable to intel more often...

geekbench is a joke. I want to see some classic benchmarks that actually use the CPU cores and not the bunch of accelerators attached to it. I bet if someone ran something like Pifast or wprime it wouldnt look so good.

They are for Chinese government, intel and amd or even arm are irrelevant in that market. It just has to be fast enough and manufacturable in China. They even run their own architecture, its not x86 or arm.
