    Asus vs MSI

 "Get with the times"....... not an option! One can never be up to speed with new tech in computer buisness unless you are loaded with money and got enough time to spend with your computer. The idea of getting new parts are there, but the money is not. And I'm not gonna scrap a...

I want stable & safe OC

And I wonder if anyone know where I can find productinfo about my intel P4 3,2ghz Prescot & my 2,8Ghz Northwood! I want to know the safe "voltrange" for these cpu's, and preferably also voltranges that is absolutely not recommended. What I do know is that these two cpu's operate on different...

Raid 0 equals pause when boot

thanks! no jumpers conflicting! and you're right, there is an alternate OS on one of the two storage disks, but it shouldn't be a problem. it starts up perfectly with all 4 disks when I let them go solo, and with OS on two separate disks. However there are roules for populating the serial-ata...

Raid 0 equals pause when boot

the raid is configured in bios. I have 4 connectors for sata disks on the mobo, and they are used like this: ser 1 + 2 = 2 x Raptor disks with OS ser 3 + 4 = The two storage sata disk (see description above) this should work fine cause if I install OS on the first one (only, not Raid)...

Raid 0 equals pause when boot

Hmm..... It is really strange how quiet a new tread CAN get if you ask the right question! Is it true? No one have a clue? When it comes to RAID you must get paid? Hey! I'm a poet, and I didn't even know it! Anyway! Offer still stands........ to solve my "pause" problem when boot...

Raid 0 equals pause when boot

My problem is that the system is doing "timeout" between POST and Loading WinXP. that is, when I configure BIOS in a manner that gives me access to all my drives in Windows. If I run the system without my 2 storage HD's it starts up in a flash. If I use my 2 storage HD's and disables the...

Is it possible to unlock P4 Cpu?

I've got a P4 2,8Ghz NW cpu and it's locked! does anyone know if it is possible, some way, to unlock it for further OC'ing? if I manage to kill it, I may be able to convince my better half to buy a new mb & cpu, however it would be cool to try and see if it would work even better than it...

Urgent PC advice needed please :(

............and from one who has done about all the mistakes one can do...... youre sure about mounting the mobo correctly? if the mounting holes on mobo does'nt match the cabinet well enough, then you do have a problem. also if you "forget" to use the supply of "mounting-shims" (or whatever...

    X800pro@xt b0rked

you are probably right about NOT sending it back, but..... and I could be wrong and the gpu could be fried, but I would try to flash it again with the original bios to see if the wrongdoing could be undone.(you either use a pci vga card....or you can do it the Stewie Wonder way. it's possible...

Anyone try the new ASUS BIOS unlocks the CPU multiplier?

quote: "Make sure your board will support Presscott chips before you get one ..." for every answer there's another question.......or two :) : when a mobo is supposed to support intel P4 it shouldn't matter which manufacturer, type or whatever it is as long as it's a P4!? I don't know...

Anyone try the new ASUS BIOS unlocks the CPU multiplier?

is it some sort of trick to tweak up Prescott cpu? isn't it possible to pump it up via Bios-fsb? I have a 2,8ghz Northwood and thinking about getting a 3,2 Prescott for more OC. is it recommendable? .....and my MB is MSI875pneo without multiplier. I run my 2,8ghz Northwood on 3,15ghz...

Raid 0 or Raid 1? I'm puzzled, need advice

OK! I may have lost it, but I want to try out another question... what if I got 2 pcs of 15000rpm HD's on scsi and put them in raid 0? it's not about the benchmarks, but rather about how OS & other programs appear. hmm. there may also be something about me being norwegian & a total...
