I had the rrod, tried the xclamp and new thermal paste, and even wrapping it in a towel fix as a last ditch effort. None of it worked. I ended up buying one of the newer arcade models that were much more reliable (not the S design) Now I have the 250gb S model.

I agree it looks awful but as far as gun recoil goes I'm not sure what you're talking about because all the guns have quite a bit of recoil, in different styles obviously.

for around $100 these are the best stereo set M-AUDIO Studiophile AV 30 2.0 Compact Desktop Spea.... Definitely worth it, I have heard them in person against the bose companion 2 and the M-audio blow the bose out of the water.
