Wrong guess. I still read the clocks from the PLL. I just use hardcoded 25MHz crystal clock for G94 based display adapters now.

Most likely NVIDIA driver will never show real clock speed in case of PCI-E bus overclocking, I've explained why here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=2618787&postcount=3 The same will apply to new versions of diagnostic tools reading PLL clock directly (RivaTuner and Everest)...
