ASUS today announced the TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT White Edition and TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics cards, a triple treat of graphics cards engineered to deliver cutting-edge experiences to gamers who value durability, low noise and smooth framerates. All three cards are designed to pack more performance and cooling than the previous generation, while still offering the same low noise levels and power draw.

TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7800 XT
The TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card leads the pack with a potent arsenal of improvements. This 2.96-slot card packs an eye-popping 3840 stream processors. Plus, with 16 GB of GDDR6 operating on a 256-bit bus, it has an ample and lightning-fast memory subsystem. A White Edition version of this card is also available, marking the first time this color scheme appears in the TUF Gaming family.

The TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card inherits a legacy of hardware that endures, so it also comes equipped with a full complement of features designed to enhance longevity, such as military-grade capacitors and manufacturing with ASUS Auto-Extreme technology. Auto-Extreme Technology is a fully automated manufacturing process used in graphics cards and components that ensures high level of precision during manufacturing for better quality, reliability, and performance. The TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT model also goes through 144 hours of validation testing. This model also includes an optional graphics card holder that can keep the card perfectly level for years to come.

A vented backplate on the graphics card helps ensure continuous air circulation, powered by a trio of in-house Axial-tech fans, which themselves deliver more airflow and static pressure than the previous generation, with similarly quiet operation. And the TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card is powered by two 8-pin connectors, making it well-suited to mainstream power supplies such as the TUF Gaming Gold series, which offer a 10-year warranty, dual ball bearing fans and a host of other premium benefits designed to ensure reliability.

Those who like to tweak and tune can get down into the details using a myriad of settings in GPU Tweak III. Or, users can just flick the Dual BIOS switch to quickly toggle between high-performance and whisper-quiet modes. Those who enjoy monitors with high refresh rates will be pleased to know that each of the three cards offer one HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 2.1 ports.

TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT Graphics Card
The TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT takes the mainstream tier of graphics cards to all-new heights. It delivers a potent batch of 3456 stream processors working in concert with 12 GB of GDDR6 and a 192-bit bus, and its three Axial-tech fans steadily circulate cooling through a 2.96-slot aluminium frame. Two 8-pin PCIe connectors are all that is needed to power the full experience, and ASUS offers many premium power supplies that will power the card, such as the TUF Gaming Gold series, which come with a 10-year warranty and dual-ball-bearing fans.

This is Just a prediction based on algorithm. memory is 20% faster, average clock speed 2.64 Ghz.
and it all points to 7800 XT 20% faster than RX 6800 which carries the same configuration apart from 64 vs 128 MB $L3 that could be really unfortunate.

This is because the RX 6800 XT has 4608 shaders, while RX 7800 XT is downgraded to only 3840 shaders.

AMD needs to face a class-action lawsuit over the misleading naming of its lineup.

RX 7900 XTX = RX 6950 XT + 36%
RX 7900 XT = RX 6950 XT + 15%
RX 7800 XT = RX 6800 XT - 3%
RX 7700 XT = RX 6750 XT + 14%
RX 7600 = RX 6650 XT + 0%

That is entirely your opinion. You are acting like the 6600 and 6700 never existed. The 50 numbers were refreshed cards. You are forgetting the focus of the 7900 cards. 4K. No 6000 card can match a 7900 card at 4k.

The *50 cards were the chips at their max potential, after months of process maturing and yield improvement.
What have the 6600 and 6700 to do with anything? The 7600 is the full max chip already. There won't be a 7600 XT or 7650 XT based on the same Navi 33.

So you work for AMD and know for a fact that there will be no refreshed cards for this Generation? The 6600 and 6700 are what the 7600 and coming 7700xt should be compared to. What you suggest would be like comparing a 3080 to a 2080TI when the 2080 is understood to be exactly that. We don't know what the performance numbers will be. It's not like Lisa Su got on stage and said 1.5 x per watt improvement but they still seemed very confident about the performance of their new cards. I celebrate that the price is not stupid and actually $100 less than the 6800XT at launch. So it will look like this from top to bottom

7900XTX 24GB
7900XT 20GB
7800XT 16GB
6950XT 16GB
6900XT 16GB
6800XT 16GB
6800 16GB
7700XT 12GB
6750XT 12GB
6700XT 12GB
7600XT 8GB
6600XT 8GB
6500XT 4GB
6400 4GB
5600G APU

In Canada the price range for these cards is from $139 for a 5600G to $1399 for a 7900XTX. That is $102 to $1028 US for AMD GPUs. That looks pretty full to me.

You do realize this "downgraded" business isn't exactly straight forward. RDNA3 FP32 execution units are dual issue now like Ampere, this means the 7800XT actually has 7680 shaders by the manner in which Nvidia counts their shaders.

It's funny, AMD chose to be more honest about the way they count the shaders but this confuses the average Nvidia fanboy because AMD wont falsely advertise their hardware like Nvidia does lol.
AMD needs to face a class-action lawsuit over the misleading naming of its lineup.
There is nothing illegal about the way they named their products, there is no mandatory requirement to have a specific amount of performance lol what.

You know what was actually illegal ? Nvidia trying to label the 4070ti a "4080".

Explain that to the average joes who will think, oh look 78 is bigger than 68, you know what, it must be faster. We are expecting faster, when in reality it turns out to be slower.

AMD is misleading the gamers. Calling RX 7900 XTX, the users expect RTX 4090 rivalry, not 4070 Ti rivarly.

AMD must change its product naming - RX 7900 XTX should have been called RX 8700 and marketed against RTX 4070 Ti.

The 6600 and 6700 are what the 7600 and coming 7700xt should be compared to.

Wrong.
RX 6600 had 1792 shaders.
RX 6600/6650 XT has 2048 shaders.
RX 7600 had 2048 shaders.

RX 6800 XT had 4608 shaders.
RX 7800 XT will have only 3840 shaders.

You compare the specs, not only the name.

For one thing you don't know if it will be slower. How much do you want to bet that it will be faster ?

AMD is misleading the gamers. Calling RX 7900 XTX, the users expect RTX 4090 rivalry, not 4070 Ti rivarly.
This is just straight up nonsense, nobody expects anything just looking at the name alone. The 4090 is like 600$ more than a 7900XTX, even the average joe as braindead as he might be would know that the 7900XTX is probably not meant to compete with the 4090. And the 7900XTX competes with the 4080 not 4070ti, obviously.

AMD must change its product naming - RX 7900 XTX should have been called RX 8700 and marketed against RTX 4070 Ti.
Again, utter nonsese, I am not even going to argue about this, it's way too stupid.

LMAO there is nothing about a 4070Ti that compares to a 7900XTX. You may think not but the 7900 series cards are in the top 5 GPUs ever created in terms of raw performance.

According to who exactly. AMD are free to do as they please with products they created. You can look at Shaders all you want but any average PC Gamer looks at VRAM before anything else. The more VRAM you have the less you have to use system memory. Then if that can be fast it gets better but then when the GPU runs as fast a 3 GHZ when processing data. That means in real time that when playing TWWH3 the 6800XT would be at 11-12 GB used and the 7900XT is at 13-16 GB used per second. That means at 4K I get from 70s FPS using a 6800XT to 100 FPS using a 7900XT.

You can look at Shaders
He is also just straight up wrong because he doesn't know anything about how this works, RDNA3 shaders are not comparable to RDNA2.

Why is there 1,5 cm of unused space which could be heatsink on the side...

More like ASUS TURD instead of TUF.

Maybe this cooling system and backplate is designed for other card 7900 XT TUF?

Probably, and it wont be the last time ASUS reuses HSF designs from other cards and slaps them onto other GPUs without optimizations.
