CORSAIR, a world leader in high-performance gear for gamers and content creators, today announced the launch of a new keyboard that introduces PC gaming performance and RGB to all players: the K55 CORE. A key companion in your gaming journey, the K55 CORE sets you on the pathway to victory. Play, have fun, and start racking up wins on the K55 CORE, a full-size keyboard that sports a slim, modern profile, designed specifically with PC gaming in mind. Execute precise movements, perform critical actions, and type in chat on quiet responsive membrane keys, while controlling volume and playback easily via four dedicated media buttons - making you a master of video, music, and more. The K55 CORE also resists spills of up to 300ml, so your keyboard can withstand years of use without quitting.

Ten-zone RGB makes the K55 CORE - and your games - truly stand out. And CORSAIR iCUE software ignites your keyboard's full potential, giving you the ability to customize lighting effects, program macros, remap keys, and sync your keyboard's RGB to the rest of your gaming setup. The K55 CORE brings all the right features and abilities to the fight. Dedicated Win Lock prevents accidental Windows Key presses from ever breaking your combos again, and RGB brightness can be adjusted with the press of a button. For the most frenetic key smashes, 12-key rollover ensures that your actions get through, all at a snappy 1,000 Hz polling rate. No matter what your games throw at you, the K55 CORE can keep up and then some, giving you everything you need to start your winning streak.

Availability, Warranty, and Pricing
The CORSAIR K55 CORE gaming keyboard is available immediately from the CORSAIR webstore and the CORSAIR worldwide network of authorized online retailers and distributors.

The CORSAIR K55 CORE gaming keyboard is backed by a two-year warranty, alongside the CORSAIR worldwide customer service and technical support network. The MSRP is set at $39.99.

With $5-10 discounts year down the line this would a pretty decent keyboard if it performs well.

Oh, only $40?
I guess that's not too terrible for a membrane keyboard.
Being Corsair, I was expecting to be ripped off, as usual.

I've had the K40 for about 10 years now, and to me it's the greatest keyboard ever made. Good price (it was something like $60), great quality, phenomenal key press feeling. I've tried every mechanical keyboard around, I've been looking for a reason to buy something cooler, and so far, nothing compares, even though it's using membranes. It's gotten to the point I firmly believe - and that's only my point of view, don't start whining - mechanical keyboards have become a marketing phenomenon more than a technical/practical superiority. My point is, at $40, this one could be an incredible value when you see mechanical ones going for $150.

You can get good mechanical keyboards for like $60.
If you want a mechanical keyboard, you should get it and not try to save.
