What is the reward for successfully trolling the TPU forum? Cause this guy has earned it. I have read 4 pages of what looks like a night at the bar, when people start arguing over one topic, then instead of admitting defeat, change the subject and argue over another topic.

Is it the Drunken Poster Award? Do we have that?
Too many betas making a run at the king. They examine the situation and say, "Oh, this topic seems to make sense. I've heard rumors of RDNA3 problems myself. He's probably onto something so I can't challenge him on this so I'll need to change the subject to something stupid like freesync and try to corner him on semantics." It's a problem with internet forum posters in general. Then they pull this Alinsky tactic garbage projection of "u r trolling us" when they're trying to derail the thread themselves.

You two ultra-casuals feel free to take your insanely overwhelming freesync "advantage" to go take over the FPS world now. Feel free to benchmark and video tape yourselves as well so we can see the 2% aim improvement with freesync turned off instead of on too.
You know what? I will take that badge of honor and proudly wear it in my signature. I was looking for something snappy anyway.

So, are there only two types of PC gamers, r0ach? Ultra-casual peasants whose opinion on anything and everything should be instantly disregarded and real competitive pro-gamers who run "properly tuned" Windows 7 Ivy Bridge systems without "clown cursor" which allows them to pwn noobz at the peak efficiency (presumably around Gold Nova rank)? There are only those two options, nothing else?
Anecdotally, BTW, a good friend of mine played CS at Global Elite level and later went semi-pro via FaceIT. He knew exactly jack and sh*t about PCs. The guy had to call me up when he wanted to reinstall an OS a couple of times, for Pete's sake. He definitely ran no "advanced tweaks". He did have a 240Hz monitor and he did run FreeSync on it. That, weirdly enough, did not stop him from being insanely good at the game. Funny that.
Oh, and I am sure that numerous actual testing done that proves that VRR with a proper frame-cap has no actual negative input effect should also be disregarded as fake and false? Again, when are you going to actually, for the first time in a decade, put your money where your mouth is, acquire an LDAT kit and prove, once and for all, that your way is the way?

Check out my "ultra casual" build, mate. It's basically a Dell Inspiron pre-built, and I definitely run Windows home edition with McAfee installed.

This is the ridiculous state of the internet. A thread that's completely true and known by thousands of people as a problem for RDNA3 already, but astroturfed by a few shills, bots, and random basement people spamming "u r trolling."

Judging from his posts, it probably causes his board to run bifurcated 8x/8x and he probably doesn't even know it.

1. Come to a tech enthusiast forum.
2. Make claims that are dubious and exaggerated at best and provably wrong at worst.
3. Be as antagonistic as possible.
4. Refuse to present any actual proof.
5. Get called out.
6. Act like it's the forum users being unreasonable.

Throwing insults are not a good look. What is the most hilarious though is you came on TPU less than 6 months ago and are calling people who are into PC hardware (why else would you register on TPU) that they are ultra-casuals? What does that even mean? I guess if you don't spend all day playing PVP FPS you are not a real Gamer. That is like people who think Star Citizen is the best Space sim and Starfield is it's only competition when Games like Spacebourne 2 are arguably better than both. You make me feel like drinking a beer.

@Dr. Dro Can I critique you build? First, sweet looking build. Personally, I would have run the graphics card cable on the back side of the card, and merge it with 24pin cables, pulling the 24 pin cable down toward the graphics card a little.
(Sarcasm Heavily Applied for the Above)

Everyone has something that they can or will complain about regarding PC's. I have a super cheap 1440p 170hz VA display, my kid always razes me about it because he has a more expensive 165hz IPS display. He razzes me about, how can you deal with that smear and yada yada.. My answer is always, I'm old and dont notice it, so I dont care.. I'm happy with my build so GFYS. ( of my three kids, he is grown and out of the house and we laugh about it while gaming )

If issue is there you can fix it easily in AMD control panel, but then it introduces "lag" so you know.
My eyes are on the mismatched cooler fans and what I think is ground?

That costs him at least 5 fps and 2ms response time.

Take a break. Come back when you've learned to get along with the "ultra casuals". Or don't.

You're not the first one to experience frustration over software/hardware, but most usually behave like adults when they do.

If I was an ultra casual Gamer I would running a 5600G on a B450 with a 19" 720P screen. However since I have been into Gaming since Asteroids and Wizard of Wor, I do like to spend money on my PC.

It doesn't. The bottom PCIe slot is not connected to the CPU at all. Shows how much you know about it...
@Onasi I just realized that my post sounds like I was calling you arrogant, sorry about that. That was aimed at roach. :toast:

Yea man, you are so right. Everyone on the entire planet was incapable of playing competitive video games before freesync was invented. The tearing was just so much that nobody could see anything and they just ran into walls and died. No. This did not actually happen. Absolutely NOTHING changed once freesync came out. Stop pushing this delusional theory of yours.
You should apply that lens to the myriad of nonsensical system tweaks and upgrade paths for competitive players.

Enlightening :)
