According to the article, YouTube also has the ability to turn on your vid at any point without your permission. Didn't realize that, but had disabled it a year or so ago, for some stupid reason or other. For those interested, using something like Root Explorer, and mounting as R/W, then renaming your Youtube.apk should be enough to block the app if you're not using it.
