$8 shipping... Still a good deal though.

Picked up the limit for the rebate, 3 and still was 8-9 buck shipping so multi is advised!

Bought three as well. The online portion of the rebate wasn't too painful and can be done as soon as you place the order, although I still need to print something out and send it in, for a multi-order and there's an option to get a quick rebate for a $3 fee (taken off your rebate, so $27 for me). "Basic" has no fee, but takes quite a few weeks.

Made a post over in the WCG forums about this and managed to dig up a little information about this thing since TigerDirect is rather vague about what you get. It looks like AM2/AM3 mounts as well as anything LGA2011 and newer should be included.

Well, I can only tell you that another cooler from Cool-It, the ECO ALC, is a horrible, horrible cooler. I work at an IT distributor and we produce PCs for a big local reseller and we get like 3-5 dead PCs a week with leaking ECO ALCs.

More recent PCs have the Corsair H60 (old version) which looks like the cooler you posted. So far, I did not have a PC with a leak, but I can tell you that the guys in production often throw away 2 out of 10 because they already arrive leaking. That is the bulk version, though.

*I* wouldn't use one of those, but then again, I really dislike the idea of water in my PC. IMO, if you go for water cooling, build it yourself.

Just a fair warning.

The reviews are pretty bad on that setup.

$18 after MIR and shipping w/o a fan. For your consideration: this with a fan @ $30 after MIR

Does this even come with mounting hardware? It doesn't look like it from Tiger's site...

I too found TD's description incredibly lacking.

From my post in WCG forums,
Edit: Found what looks to be the correct datasheet which implies that AM2/AM3, LGA1366, LGA1155, and LGA2011 support seem to be "standard".

There are two datasheets, one seems to include the fan, one seems not to. Looks the same otherwise. Both say compatibility for today's common mounts are "standard", which implies it's included, but in typical TD fashion, there are neither photos or details to describe it. I just hope they don't expect us to reuse stock pushpins like I've seen some coolers do.

True, but at prices this low, $30 is a ~50% price hike and two or three times the initial investment. I expect to be able to pair this up with some random fan and craigslist/ebay it to recoup my money if I decide I hate them.

The reviews all indicate that it leaks dude. You should try the H100i deal at Newegg and flip those, $80 cash deal, no rebates, with a going rate of $110-120, and its a solid product so you don't have to worry about customers with a leaky product.

I debated buying this. In the end I decided I would rather stick with xigmatek gaia and equivilent air coolers. Simpler to maintain and just as cheap with no rebate. My main rig is custom watercooled. My other computers don't need anything more than a gaia.

cant anyone just swap the water for cooling fluid that does not fry the system or oil? how hard can it be?

To do that you have to actually sever the tubing and replace it on at least one run, as in from pump to rad. The little bit of tubing, and the little bit of expensive non conductive fluid would add to the cost negating any reason to buy this. At that point you would just buy an h60 or antec 620. Really, your just getting a cheap radiator with a cheap very week pump.

Anyone else purchase more than one and have it come in separate boxes? I just noticed I have three tracking numbers.

Edit: Just got home, opened one, and now I know why. They don't even come with a box. The shipping box IS the box it comes in. Will update with a picture.

New post because new information. I'm not sure if I read the info wrong, but this offer is good until 7/31 (thought it was to the end of last month).

That's the box the UPS label was slapped to. Ran it for a few minutes to leak test it. Seemed very quiet next to my stupid-loud AC (terrible test, I know). The hoses are incredibly rigid which seems good for kinks but makes it somewhat hard to install.

Mounting hardware:
Included hardware appears to include four screws for mounting to a fan/case, four washers, four longer standoffs, four shorter standoffs, two weird threaded key/screws (AM2/AM3 mounts), four thumbscrew-nuts, Intel backplate, AMD bracket.
Copied from Amazon's Corsair H60 page which appears to have identical mounts,
CPU Compatibility: Intel LGA 775, Intel LGA 1155, Intel LGA 1156, Intel LGA 1366, AMD Core AM2, AMD Core AM3

The missing instructions:
AM2/AM3 mounting works like this. The weird keys are used to clip on to the stock AM2/AM3 mount and two thumbscrews are used for retention.

Intel LGA775 mounts (and any other Intel mount, really) use the larger standoffs and even when using the washers between the standoffs and the motherboard, will be loose until you mount the waterblock. Once I tightened the block down, it felt very sturdy and didn't feel like it was going to move around at all, or at least it did until I realized the block was hung up on a line of capacitors and wasn't making proper contact. I wish I could say I realized that before I turned it on, but it survived. The block doesn't appear to be square, so rotating it 90 degrees helped. I eventually found that the standoff with the washer was too tall and wouldn't clamp down enough to make proper contact with the processor. Removing the washers and bolting it down allowed the cooler to (finally) make proper contact. Temps were about 5c below the stock cooler.

Performance:
Dropped the aforementioned LGA775 processor from 47 load on stock heatsink with good thermal paste to 43 load with a low power case fan. Holding a Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000 (133 CFM) fan to it made almost no difference.

What to do with your $10-30 prepaid card:
Taking suggestions for this one, but my current plan is to use it to load up the balance on my coffee shop card. Should be an easy way to get every last cent off it without any fee. Obviously only works if, like me, you combat bad mornings with a 24 ounce triple-shot three pump white chocolate mocha with whip.
