While it is a pleasure indeed to host this giveaway, I was not the one to aquire these games myself; credit and thanks go to DinaAngel, who has donated 3 copies of this game to be give away on techPowerUp! Obviously, this was a Stand Up move by DinaAngel, whom I didn't even know til recent days, and we all owe her a big thanks!

Multiplayer Update (8/14/13):
Multiplayer reveal was today. You can go here to watch the whole event or watch the following trailer.

Requirements: 217 posts or have been thanked 46 times, a TPU member since June 2013, and have a Steam account. You can only enter for yourself; there will be no exceptions to these rules! ALL PAST WINNERS are welcomed to enter! :toast:

To Enter:Let’s hear your favorite story about the Call of Duty franchise: how you heard of it, when you first played it, wanted to play it, first online match, first time meeting Capitan Price, how awesome you are at CoD, how you pwn the little ones, etc. Let’s get a bunch of good stories going so we can all enjoy it.

Closing Time: Saturday the 17th @5pmEST

Random: The winners will be drawn randomly with the system as follows:

To ensure everyone gets a fair shake and to minimize any potential conflict of interest while maintaining the highest level of transparency- I have drafted a new way to draw winners. The system uses (3) members and work as follows:

[Member 1: This member creates a list of all qualified participants usernames. This list is sent to Member 2.

Member 2: Using the list of names, Member 2 will assign each entrant a unique number. A list of the usernames with the unique numbers is sent back to Person 1. The list of just the random numbers is sent to Member 3.

Member 3: Member 3 has a list of just numbers. They use Random.Org or whatever random system to select which number wins a given prize. The list of winning numbers and the associated prize is then sent back to Member 1.

Member 1: Using the lists, Member 1 ‘decodes’ the winning numbers into the winning usernames and posts the results.

The lists are sent as Private Messages through the forum. This establishes an electronic record of everything while also preventing alterations of lists after the drawing.

When the winning usernames are posted by Member 1, Member 2 can verify that the number belongs to the correct username and Member 3 verifies that the number was actually pulled as a winner.
The system makes sure that there is no bias or other favoritism at play when winners are drawn. Winners are drawn based on a random number instead of usernames- where a possibility exists to redraw if that person doesn’t like who won, draw a friend, draw themselves, pass on new members, or skip doing a random drawing all together.

My hope is that this will alleviate any concerns about drawings and their legitimacy. If it works smoothly, I would like to see this become the new standard when conducting giveaways that have prizes donated by the community.

If there are any questions about this system, drop me a PM.

Another big THANKS to DinaAngel for supplying these games, as well as a thanks to all the fellow members for their recent giveaways.

Our generous resident Maban is willing and able to incorporate any extra game keys into a giveaway. Please feel free to contact him if you have extra keys that you would like to giveaway, if you don't have the time to host a giveaway yourself. In fact, Maban passed on hosting this giveaway and passed along the privilege to me; I respect his decision and appreciate the opportunity! :)

A big thanks to all the generous people at TPU, from the moderators and staff, to the Alpha W1zz, to DinaAngel, and of course, we need to give a shoutout to the valued members of the community who makes TPU a very awesome place, who continue to share their knowledge in a friendly and amiable way! We all appreciate all your efforts!!

The most intriguing CoD that always flashes through my mind was CoD4: MW. The part where you witness the nuclear explosion yourself. I was totally  when i saw that.

Hope to win this =X

Call Of Duty 2 on Xbox 360 was my first entry of the series while CoD 4 was the best FPS experience in terms of single player I have played up to this point Going back I played all the older titles and enjoyed them all I felt like i missed out having stuck with Medal of Honor instead.

Anyway back to the experience i sat around the 360 at my buddies place playing split screen death match for hours on end just wasting time. probably should have been working probably should have been finishing my studies instead. I said F* that and fragged some noobs.

Call of Duty world at war , played it from start to finish and loved it.

First of all, thanks definitely go out to DinaAngel for her wondrous donations. (Which isn't limited just to these CoD gifts, more details later.) Thanks also go to manofthem for hosting this giveaway.

In the interest of full disclosure, I was given these by DinaAngel to give away but since I wanted to enter myself I obviously couldn't host it. I passed them off to manofthem and I have NO part of the drawing process.

I first played Call of Duty 2 while I lived in a group home many years ago. Having been away from video games for many months it was a great pleasure to be able to play something, anything, again. And certainly the opportunity to play an FPS of the CoD caliber while I was cut off from my PlayStation and computer at home (and largely cut off from the Internet as a whole) was the best thing I could have hoped for at the time. Years later I bought CoD3 for myself and I've loved the series since. (Sure, it has its faults, but overall it's pretty darn good.)

As manofthem said in the OP, I'm always accepting donations for giveaways if for any reason you don't wish to administer them yourself. Just send me a PM. I am no longer accepting Humble Bundle keys unless it is the entire bundle and was purchased at a significant price. This amount isn't set, but think six times the average or better.

Huge thanks to DinaAngel for the donation and MoT for running the giveaway.

CoD:MW was actually the first game I ever played online. I was with my brother and he was playing campaign mode and I mentioned we should see what all the rave is about MP. We ended up playing for a few hours and it lived up to the hype. I remember camping behind a sofa/bookcase in Bloc and knifing people as they came through  Yeah, I was cheap at first.

I'll be picking this up on PS4, so please leave my name out of the drawing :toast:

Thanks for the giveaway! I hate the CoD series, so I won't be entering, but good luck to those who do!

The first time I played COD was at a friends house, when I still only played pinball and scorch, I joined a random match and started using the Golden Deagle and just destroyed people, I think I went 22 and 3 my first match ever C: Thanks for giving away the game!

"I want this game."

not interested in entering but thanks for the giveaway and good luck everyone!

I have to say COD 2 has to be my all time favorite COD. At the time the graphics where amazing. I installed it, and started playing it, and didn't stop playing till I beat it.. lol Not long only around 5 hours, but it had me the whole 5 hours. What I remember the most about the game was how good the smoke looked.. lol hehe :toast:

EDIT: I'm in

Wow im in, my favorite COD was number 4 modern warfare. I still have it installed to play multiplayer

The first cod for me was cod 4 and i think it was pretty good, never played mp though.

What! 3 copies? That's amazing :D Thanks to DinaAngel for the game donation and for manofthem for running this amazing giveaway.

I'm in for this giveaway.

My first CoD game was the first one, Call Of Duty. I remember playing the "pirate" version of it :D didn't have the money to buy the game at that time.

I skipped CoD 2 and CoD 3 (too busy with my last year in college, between 2004-2006) but immediately bought it and CoD MW after I graduated. And the latter bricked my old Radeon 9500, screen freeze during a gameplay and then no output at all, have to bought GeForce 7600GT to replace it haha.

Well, I'd like to participate to win this, because I've never actually owned CoD.

Only time I've played is Call of Duty: Black Ops at a friend's house on his PS3. I liked it but just haven't been inspired to buy it. If I won this I'd have a new game to play since I'm a bit bored with Crysis 3 as it's too difficult - what I like about CoD is that it's very varying in the level of difficulty (if that makes sense)...

Thanks,
shovenose

I wouldn't mind a copy of this, could be fun.

My first COD was 2, played through the story mode, had a lot of fun. I skipped a few until World at War (got Black Ops when it came out on PS3, then went to COD4 on a steam sale). Played World at War for hundreds of hours with friends in the co-op campaign and the multiplayer. World at war, was, and still is my favorite; you can't beat going through the campaign with a friend, using nothing but rocks as weapons, lol (cheat to unlock that makes you have infinite rocks to throw at your enemies instead of guns, was too good).

Cod United Offensive is by far the best one in the series Why you ask well go play armoured assault and blow stuff up with tanks ,funnest one out of all them,Which still has servers up .:toast:Good luck trying to do that now.

i have completed all the single player modes in them all, but it's long ago, and i am still preparing to get to play Ghosts too ^^;

i'm in.

I used to play CoD2 on LAN with my brother, and to freak him out i'd start singing "here kitty kitty. HERE KITTY KITTY" as i stalked him around the map.

even to this day a good 10 years later, it still freaks him out in any game we play and he assumes death is literally around the corner and panics, allowing me to brutally murder his digital face.

i'm actually banned at one of the LAN events here from playing CoD2, because you give me the PPSH and i rape everyone and everything with its insane ammo count.

Only COD game I played was COD2 back in 2005,on that time I didnt had internet so i enjoyed only Single player,Liked shooters back then, was the only games I played, because all my friends played them, so i had no choice what to play, because i couldnt afford any games so i took whatever friends was playin from them.

im in, I play a lot of cod black ops2 multiplayer. I OWN, teabag and moan!

I get called nasty things because I own and moan about campers. and my name is d1nky on there so they make fun of my d1nky, I have to mute all players because it happens so much LOL

Over the recent years I've struggled to get hooked into the CoD series like I did back in MW (CoD4) and MW2. Black Ops 1 and 2 were nice but really didnt capture my attention. Hopefully CoD: Ghosts can get me back into the face paced and big action hits that Activision was once so good at making.

Thanks for the giveaway! Im in!

I'm in.
I loved how CODMW multilayer, game used to hook me up for hours of run and gun. I think that was last good shooter that made my wrist hurt out of owning. I really miss that you could own a whole enemy team if you had a good day (not in HC), doesn't happen in BF3 where you need one clip to kill a single person.
I never played campaign cause I only do MP :D

I am not entering couse I can't  but I've played all the Cods up to Black Ops. except world at war. then I lost interest couse Cod 4 multiplayer was still more fun for me then getting mowed down by killstreaks.

now I'm interested again by the story, so I will buy it anyway. last year i bought BF3+Premium.(and I had a ton of fun and still do :) ) now its cod's place, couse bf4 is not worth the whole 50 euros for me.

Kudos to dina :rockout:
