Crunch for TechPowerUp at the WCG 9th Birthday Challenge

At last year's WCG 8th birthday challenge, TechPowerUp took 2nd place, and came close to winning. This year, the TechPowerUp WCG team, which is poised to become one of the world's top-10 teams before the end of the year, would like to leave no stone unturned with its efforts, with a little help from you, yes you! We're running a contest of our own, which rewards performance within our team that participates in the WCG 9th Birthday Challenge, that runs from the 16th to 22nd November, 2013. We'll be competing with about 50 other teams, but given our track-record, we stand more than a fighting chance. Some awesome prizes, such as a fully-loaded 6-core crunching rig, other hardware, and game coupons are up for grabs!

I will get my new parts for Intel-desk tomorrowish, if things go according to plan I can reconstruct the machine on thursday. Darwin will be ready to crunch by the end of the week, producing a projected PPD of about 2000, more or less doubling the output of Intel-desk (of which the motherboard needs replacement) without seeing a decrease in efficiency.
Darwin will have a maiden voyage and baptism of fire at once, going all out for the challenge during its first full week of use. Asgard-AMD will assist this weekend while I be at my parents place, making sure that I will yet produce some points when Darwin is still spooling up on monday.

One does not simply beat Team TPU.

If anyone tried joining up yesterday......

World Community Grid had an issue with their upload/download servers yesterday that may have affected new crunchers getting started. All seems to be OK now
