@W1zzard can I ask what happened with 6800XT power spikes? They were 389w for like 2 years through all the reviews and they skyrocketed to 579w in the first 4080 reviews.

I retested power, because I switched the underlying mobo/CPU. I just looked at my old data again and it seems I was lucky getting only 389 W in that run. Another run from Dec 2020 shows 535 W

This is the chart for the current data (579 W)

Gotcha, thanks! Now Im a bit scared since Im getting a 6800XT Nitro (5600 cpu) and I have a RM750x so those spikes will be kind of pushing it. But I did read a lot of people having no issues with 750w PSUs so I'll have to pray and see :p Ill just stay the hell away from Furmark lol.

Since you mention in the conclusion that quiet mode undervolts and clocks the GPU I assume that lowers power consumption? If so how much does it reduce it by?

just bought this card from Microcenter. It is one amazing looking and performing card. Also mine has no coil whine. not sure if thats mentioned but lack of coil whine was a major factor in my purchase decision since i am going for a silent build and my case sits on my desk. I highly recommend it.

I bought a new Asrock rx7900xtx card but I have a small problem, the packaging has no seals and there is no foil on the beck plate. Is this normal or did I receive the card after returning it? What should it look like?
