Ikenai borderline!
System Name Firelance.
Processor Threadripper 3960X
Motherboard ROG Strix TRX40-E Gaming
Cooling IceGem 360 + 6x Arctic Cooling P12
Memory 8x 16GB Patriot Viper DDR4-3200 CL16
Video Card(s) MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 2X OC
Storage 2TB WD SN850X (boot), 4TB Crucial P3 (data)
Display(s) 3x AOC Q32E2N (32" 2560x1440 75Hz)
Case Enthoo Pro II Server Edition (Closed Panel) + 6 fans
Power Supply Fractal Design Ion+ 2 Platinum 760W
Mouse Logitech G602
Keyboard Logitech G613
Software Windows 10 Professional x64
After installing the aforementioned GPU into my system Windows automatically installed driver 426.31 from 2021, so I of course immediately ran NVCleanInstall to get the latest driver. But, it cannot figure out which driver to use:

The correct driver is 537.99-quadro-rtx-desktop-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql.exe which can be obtained by going to and making the following selections:

Even after manually downloading and installing the driver from NVIDIA's website, NVCleanInstall still can't find the correct version:

Ah .. that's because I don't have Quadro drivers in NVCleanstall. Will think about how this can be added, without adding confusing for the 99% of gaming users

That's strange, because I've previously used NVCleanInstall with an A2000 and it worked just fine.

I think A2000 is supported in the regular GeForce drivers

That might be it, but it's super weird because if I go to the NVIDIA download page as linked above and select A2000, it directs me to the very same 537.99 Quadro driver. And sadly you've obfuscated the NVCI binary so that I can't figure out how it determines what driver to use :(

Anyway, you can probably un-flag this as a bug and mark it as a feature request.

Sadly just ask me: https://gpu.me/v1/index2.json

This is generated server-side from the driver's INF files, using the driver installers that I upload manually (Quadro is not part of those)
Next time a standard driver update drops, I'll try to install that and see if the T600 takes it. I'll let you know!

I have pretty weird setup going on with this laptop:
  • Intel iGPU - integrated in CPU
  • NVIDIA A2000 Laptop GPU - discrete in laptop, passes through iGPU
  • NVIDIA T600 - discrete card, connected via Thunderbolt and driving 3 external 2560x1440 monitors
Why am I not using the A2000 to drive the monitors? Because its outputs ultimately go through the Intel iGPU and the latter's driver buffers to system RAM, which wouldn't be a problem if said driver didn't also leak memory like a sieve, to the point where I have to restart dwm.exe multiple times a day or it consumes the entirety of the system's 32GB of memory. Using the T600, which is completely separate from Intel's rubbish, means no memory leaks.

Anyhow, I tried installing the latest 546.33 Desktop drivers and the NVIDIA installer was quite happy to "upgrade" from Quadro 537.99 to this new version. But after a prompted reboot, the T600 wouldn't work, and I had to roll back to Quadro 537.99 to get it functioning again. This is presumably because both the Desktop and Quadro driver sets support the "hybrid Quadro" A2000, but the Desktop installer has no knowledge of "pure Quadro" parts like the T600... NVIDIA, WTF are you even doing?

Given that this is a work laptop, and as such there's little need to update the NVIDIA display driver regularly (since it doesn't leak memory), I'm fine with manually checking NVIDIA.com once a quarter for new Quadro drivers for the T600. So W1zz, you can file "pure Quadro driver support in NVCleanInstall" as an extremely low priority feature request.

already did, you should be able to install quadro drivers using teh 3rd option (use driver files on disk)

I still have to download the driver package manually, though - it's not a 1-click-install like with the Desktop driver.
